  Summary: The Samsung HT-D6500W is easily one of the best Home Theater In a Box sound systems you're likely to find. The sound from the speakers is incredibly clear and the subwoofer provides plenty of bass for action soundtracks. The HD sound really does make the difference. Pop in Saving Private Ryan and just listen to the opening sequence at Omaha Beach and you'll realize what I'm talking about.
  
  As for the Wireless Rear Speakers, there is absolutely no lag and the sound coming out of them sounds excellent. The wireless receiver hub is about the size of a Hardcover book, so the only problem you may face is finding a place for it in the back of the room. But don't worry, the wires are long enough so that you can put the receiver hub on either side of the room.
  
  I don't have a 3d TV, so I can't speak for the 3d aspect, but as far as 2d goes, everything I've been watching has looked incredibly clear and the loading times have been pretty short.
  
  Setup was pretty painless. All of the speakers are color-coded, so you just have to match up the colors on the wires to the back of the system. As far as sound calibration (frequency, db level, audio lag, etc), the included microphone (which plugs into the front) eliminates the need for trial and error.
  
  The built in Wi-Fi is great and the number of apps that Samsung offers is pretty extensive. I also like the Netflix button on the remote that takes you directly to the Netflix app, which ran smoothly and also had good sound. FYI, not everything on Netflix is offered in 5.1 surround sound. Depending on what you watch, you may only hear sound from the front speakers, but this only means that whatever you're watching may just be in stereo and not 5.1.
  
  For about $470, this should be a no-brainer. The HD sound is fantastic and the system works great.

  If you like crashing software/no support buy it!

  Pros: nice display

  Cons: software crashes often, user interface operates poorly, documentation does not describe what you need to know, support personnel merely apologize but fix nothing.

  Summary: I have owned an HT-6500W (and Samsung 55" LCD TV) for about 6 months now. HUGE piece of junk. Watching Netflix or Hulu: system often (half of the time) simply hangs up - no buttons on the remote work except for power off - I have to turn it all back on, re-navigate to where I was - including having to search Netflix/Hulu all over again. I am shocked at how poorly the two work together. For example: turning on the TV turns on the HT6500 but turning off the HT6500 leaves the TV on. Can't turn on subtitles on Netflix. Un-intuitive. Very slow operation/navigation. Remote control poorly integrated. Documentation does not explain anything but merely describes in a general way what the feature does. Technical Support personnel simply apologize when something does not work right but do not try to fix the problem. I'd return it but it has been too long since I bought it.

  Bery good system But

  Summary: I bought a this sytem and found that FM sound was MONO and not in STEREO. I contacted SAMSUNG C/S ans they recommend I replace the system.
  I replaced a brand new system but it too had same problem. Sound is MONO when I press STREO/MONO button on the remote control even though the indicator and TV screen changed to STREO and MONO,but sound didn't changed. (MONO sound only) I hooked up Onkyo FM tuner to AUX port onto for test, It made real good STEREO sound. If you owned or plan to buy SAMSUNG HT-D5500,HT-6500W and HT-D6730 (2011 Models) Please,Test FM sound in 2.1 STREO mode.( It doesn't work in any sound mode, but you can find problem easily )
