  Summary: This is a great product and I would highly reccoment it to anyone looking to buy a new home theater system. It was a little expensive but very worth the money.
  
  -The sound is amazing. I no longer have to turn up and down the sound when people are talking or when there is action like I had to do with my old system.
  
  -Set up was very simple. I could have used a little extra wire but it was easy to add some lengh so I could place the speakers where I wanted them in the room.
  
  -Picture quality is amazing just as with all BlueRay so this was no surprise.
  
  -The best feature is the internet streaming and the fact that the unit has wifi. Netflix streams perfectly and the picture quality is always amazing. And then there is Pandora. We use Pandora all the time and love the fact you can hear it through the house and dont have to be in the living room.
  
  I though I would use the iPod dock more but with Pandora its not really necessary. I do like the fact that I can use my iPod for the remote witch makes it much easier for looking at things on youtube or other internet sites available.
  
  - Overall, this is a great product and well worth the money. It is a little expensive but you definately get what you pay for ( suggest you have to check for best deal at: sites.google.com/site/blurayplayerdeal/sony-bdv-e580 ).

  Best Home Theater system you can get.

  Pros: 3D. Blu-ray. Really AWESOME sound. Compatible with Netflix. And at the highest level of sound it does not have distortion even when just 2 channel mode. Every device that uses an USB drive option it's compatible. IPod dock.

  Cons: The iPod dock uses a low res type of cable source(just for videos) and you have to go to another input to approach it. YouTube videos are not in HD. Doesn't support Airplay. But you can get an app for DLNA in the AppStore or the PlayStore.

  Summary: It's compatible with everything, so it's the best home theater you can get.

  Don't bother

  Pros: Looks good, set up is simple.

  Cons: sound is adequate at best.....when it works at all!! I am on my second unit right now and it is already starting to fail after two days.

  Summary: First unit I bought, the sound would not come on at all and the picture would. Or the picture would not come on and the sound would. Spent at least 8-10 hrs either on the phone with Sony support or on their online chat support. Never resolved the issue so I took it back to best buy and exchanged it. Now, after only two days the disc tray will not open. Everything was going great and all of a sudden the tray will not open. I've tried turning it off and unplugging it but it did not work. So now I get to deal with Sony's non existant support line! I might just take it back for a refund and buy a samsung or bose!!

  Great system for the $$, you can't go wrong with it.

  Pros: I can't say enough about this system. I went from an Onkyo system that I paid over $900 for about 8 years ago to this one that I picked up as a damaged box at the local CompUSA for an unbelievable deal. So good I won't even say the price because you won't

  Cons: I've only had it a few days, the only thing I've found I didn't like is the length of the front speaker wires, could have used about an additional 10ft or so.

  Summary: Great system for the $$ you won't be disappointed with your purchase even at full retail it a good deal and worth every penny.
