FTP
- 1. How do I FTP via a Web browser?
- Recent versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer allow you to upload files via FTP relatively easily. You may need to upgrade your browser if you haven't already done so.
To upload a feed via FTP within your browser, open a browser window, type ftp://datafeed.mysimon.com into the address bar, and click Enter. Once the page loads, you'll be prompted to enter your datafeed account FTP username and password.
Enter this information and select Log On. You will probably see a blank window; however, you will be connected to the FTP server. Now just drag and drop your datafeed into the browser window and wait for the file to transfer. Once you've sent your file, the icon for the file will appear in the Internet Explorer window. The file is now uploaded. - If you are using Mozilla, enter ftp://username:password@datafeed.mysimon.com. Now just drag and drop your datafeed into the browser window and wait for the file to transfer. Once you've sent your file, the icon for the file will appear in the Mozilla window. The file is now uploaded.

- 2. How do I FTP via a client?
Please download and install the FTP program of your choice. After you have installed your FTP program, you'll need to configure it so that you can connect to our datafeed server. (Please note that we'll provide instructions for WS_FTP for Windows in this example. Specific steps may vary depending on the FTP program you select. You can download WS_FTP here Download.com.) After downloading, when you get to the session properties window,
- Click New
- Enter a profile name such as cnet
- Host Name/Address datafeed.mysimon.com
- Host Type - Automatic detect
- User ID - username
- password - password
- Click OK
