The adapter supports all existing IDE/ATAPI devices such as Iomega Zip, CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD-ROM and IDE hard drives. Transfer files to/from your laptop to your desktop quickly and easily: simply attach your laptop's 2.5in drive to the laptop to IDE drive adapter, and connect the laptop to IDE adapter to this USB 2.0 to IDE drive adapter. Then plug the USB to IDE adapter into an available USB port on your desktop. Your 2.5in drive will appear as a logical drive to enable you to pull files directly back and forth.
