Realize the full potential of your S-ATA-enabled system by installing a S-ATA HDD. The 300 MB/s instantaneous data transfer rate is a 50% improvement over previous S-ATA technology. The 250GB S-ATA HDD features Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology (S.M.A.R.T.), which can warn of predictable impending HDD failure. S.M.A.R.T. is compatible with ThinkVantage Rescue and Recovery software, available separately, which can perform unattended backup of customer data from the drive before failure. Drives predicting failure within the limited warranty period are eligible for warranty replacement.
