What speed difference?!

Pros: HUGE hard drive for a laptop!

Summary: I bought this HD for my 2.0 CoreDuo MacBook Pro, 2gb ram, 256 vram, 15.4 inch screen model. It replaced the 100gb drive that came with it. I sed a video provided by the place I bought it from.(Other World Computing.) The "How-To" video was easy to follow and helps you through the entire process. The installation process is very simple. Not as simple as the slide in, slide out process of the MacBooks, but hey this is for a MacBook Pro, whihc is like 3 times the machine!
As far as the hard drives speed which was a major concern of mine after reading both good and bad things about having a 4200rpm drive. The bottom line for me, an average user, who has 30-40 gb of movies and maybe 40 gb of music on my computers at all times, this differnce in spee was not noticed at all. I mean if you think about it we are dealing with micro seconds of difference between the 5400 100gb drive that was in the MBP and te 4200rpm 200gb drive I put in its place.
I have noticed zero cons with this drive and have only good things to say about it. They are;
-HUGE HD size for a laptop. Makes your laptop a true desktop replacement!
-Quiet. Coudnt hear anything outside of normal spin up and down faint noises.
-Runs cooler than my 100gb drive. Judged by placing my hand on the top of the case.
-No differnce in battery life.
-Installation was simple as long as you have a towel to set machine on, a torx screwdriver set, and a #0 Phillips screw driver.
I highly reccomend this drive for any MacBook Pro or MacBook.
