Not a great Performer for me

Pros: Worked well for two years. We had 8 of these in a RAID 5 array with one as a Hot Swap spare. Worked great and seemed reliable. Easy to configure / install, as expected.
Cons: We started to experience failures about a year ago (at the two year mark). They have been falling like dominoes since.
Summary: I would question using these drives in a long term capacity, such as a continuous use RAID or a drive scenario that runs very frequently.

Nice Drive And Price. Buffalo case but Western Digital HD inside!

Summary: I bought this drive that was Buffalo external hard drive and this is the drive model that is in it. Wow, and external for 100 bucks that really a WD. I think I save about 40 to 50 bucks rather than buy and actual WD external drive. Buffalo is very impressive performer. I purchased this drive at Fry's. Save a some money buy Buffalo cause they are using Western Digital HD in their products! I recommend to all who need one. Model #HD-HC250U2.
