The good: Comprehensive quick-install guide; three-year warranty; speedy and silent.
The bad: Jumper diagram on drive label contradicts documentation.
The bottom line: It isn't cheap, but Western Digital's Caviar Special Edition 250GB is the complete kit, with loads of capacity, excellent performance, and sterling service and support.

Summary: worst harddrive ever, didn't seem to be operating as fast as it sure have , it have more buffer ram sould have been a litte more faster then my older 80gig western digital harddrive that only had 2 meg buffer ram. then it then norton started seeing bad sectors when from 10 meg to 60gig and drive failed no warning from smart monitor. only had drive for 2-1/2 months computer never been hit or moved, good thing i had bought two year warranty from microcenter or i have to sent drive out to western digital. they made better drives then this

Jumper setting different???

Pros: I don't know what the reviewer refers to when he writes that the "jumper diagram on drive label contradicts documentation." I took a close look and all of the jumper settings from both the drive label and install poster are identical except for the SINGLE

Cons: I bought a 200 gig WD drive when I exchanged it with WD they sent me a "recertified" used hard drive.
