Price for the size is great.

Pros: Price for the size is great. The "SecurePark" capability of parking the read/write head while the drive is off or asleep is a really great idea for laptop drives.
Cons: This drive is definitely louder than my previous 250GB drive. However I have not compared it's noise level to another 1TB 2.5" drive, so this is not a very good test.

Summary: I just installed this drive in my 13" MacBook Pro (Unibody) and things look good so far. BTW, this drive is 12.5mm high which will NOT fit in all laptops. The unibody line of MacBook Pro's will however accept this thickness - even the 13". 1TB of space in a laptop is pretty awesome especially at this price. I can say however that the the drive is noticeably louder than the stock 250GB drive that came with the MBP - (especially during read and write). But it's by no means annoying or unacceptable. I have not compared it's noise level to another 1TB 2.5" drive, so this is not a very good test. I can live with a whisper quiet whir for the extra space. I haven't noticed any performance hits given that this is only a 5200rpm drive, but I haven't done a benchmark test either, so it's hard to say. All in all I'm very happy so far.
