Good board, first impressions
by tekgek on June 22, 2008

Summary: I have been using this keyboard for a couple of days now. I did not bother to use the mouse, seeing that I already had one better than the one that came with the keyboard. The keys loose their "silent" feature very quickly, but they still deliver good, tactile response, and are pretty comfortable. I would have preferred the keys to be a little bit more a laptop's, but I can use this board just fine. The wireless feature is very convenient as well.
This keyboard does what it is meant to do: allow me to interface with my computer using the alphabet. It is a good budget keyboard right now, but we shall see if it will stand the test of time. -
Keyboard has lots of media buttons, but the mouse is clunky.

Summary: I don't have any performance issues with it. I have had this set for about 6 months and it still works great, but you can definitely tell this is an inexpensive set. The keyboard buttons feel cheap and the mouse is relatively featureless compared to other Logitech sets.
Updated
I have had this set for 6 months and have not had to replace the batteries yet. -
Great for Media Center PC

The keyboard looks very nice: it fits perfectly with my HTPC. That's the main reason I purchased this keyboard.
The keyboard is also compact enough so storing it on top of my HTPC box is just fine (ít's the same width).
The media keys are useful and work fine (I tried them with iTunes and Windows Media Player on Windows).
The mouse works fine.
The wirelss range seems fine: I tried it from about 8-9 feet away Both mouse and keyboard).
The software from Logitech to control they settings works fine.
I DIDN'T MIND:
The media keys are useful and work fine (I tried them with iTunes and Windows Media Player).
There is a small delay for the characters to appear on screen when typing. You will only notice it if you type very fast or if you start randomly pounding the keys.
I don't really see it since I don't type fast enough (eventhough I type using 4 fingers).
If you plan to use this as a desktop keyboard with games which involve multi-key firing, I suggest you try it out and see if it's OK for you.
NEGATIVE:
I found that the zoom did not work with Photoshop Elements (it may work with Photoshop CS however, I haven't tried it). I did not find a way to reassign the keystorke using the Logitech SetPoint software that comes with the keyboard.
The 100% and rotate keys do work with Photoshop Elements.
The layout for the Delete and Insert keys is not standard. The Delete is bigger and the Insert has been moved to the row of keys on to the keyboard. The Home/End are also rearranged becuase of this.
This doesn't bothers me much since I won't use the keyboard that much with my HTPC (almost everything is done with my remote).
The wireless receiver is a long USB wires and a receiver unit that must sit on your desk somewhere. For my HTPC this was OK since it could place the receiver towards the back of the shelf on my wall-unit.
I find the mouse buttons a bit stiffer than I would like. I'm use to buttons that don't require much effort to click.
OVERALL:
If you can get this keyboard on sale and particularly if you plan to use them with a HTPC, I think its a great combo. -

Summary: I bought it for my Mac mini, since I was tired of my old iMac keyboard and I had money. =] I chose this set because I trust Logitech and my friend which has a older set says they are really good. It's been great, no problems with it so far. I'm kind of mad that the programmable button software are only for Windows not OS X. Maybe fix that, then it'll be a 10.

It has a nice feel, with all of the buttons working.
by 0011810 on January 28, 2007
Pros: Nice feel. Programmable keys, working buttons that are easy to use.
Cons: The sleep button is hard to press and the rotate button doesn't do anything.

Summary: It has a nice feel with programmable buttons. The receiver is terrific that works through at least one flight of stairs. The keys have a nice feel and the buttons won't stick. You can zoom in and out, open Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. You can also undo, redo, print and save from buttons on the keyboard. It opens up you're default media player and has the controls like pause, play, stop, fast forward, rewind. It can also shuffle the songs and control the master volume. You can also open your home page on the web browser with a button. There is a sleep button on the keyboard which puts the computer in sleep mode.
The mouse has a nice feel. It has a scroll which can be rolled forward and back and left to right. Everything is perfect if you follow the easy-to-follow instructions which comes in the box.
I love it. It's worth every penny. -

Summary: I bought the media version tat had the remote included. It worked great, then it caused my computer to crash and lock up all my programs. It was due to the Setpoint that I installled from logitech. they now have a new version of te Setpoint, but its too late for me. The warranty was terrible and I ended up replacements that did not fix the problem, THEN i had to pay more money to return their mistakes. The last straw was their patronizing customer service reps who recommend dumb solutions and wont move forward until you try it. I gave up and threw mine into the trash, and will not buy or recommend logitech products anymore

If I could change one thing about the keyboard I would make the keys textured (personal preference)
