The good: Sleek looks; supercomfortable keyboard; USB minireceiver.
The bad: Portable mouse feels cramped on your day-to-day desktop; expensive considering the cheap mouse; no Bluetooth.
The bottom line: This high-end desktop/portable mouse-and-wireless-keyboard set looks nice but won't work as your permanent gear.

Expensive, but fantastic keyboard and decent mouse.
by ahast on March 7, 2005
Pros: Incredibly nice keyboard and "media pad". Quiet touch keyboard with very shallow keys which allow for a lot of feedback when typing. Large sized "Delete" key feels natural, and works very well.
Cons: Logitech ships this product with the Bluetooth edition instructions (vastly different products) - non adjustable number pad, but keyboard is?? EXPENSIVE!
Summary: This keyboard is outstanding and highly recommended if you can afford/rationlize the expenditure. The media keys on the keyboard and number pad work instantly with both iTunes and Winamp ...
Summary: This keyboard is outstanding and highly recommended if you can afford/rationlize the expenditure. The media keys on the keyboard and number pad work instantly with both iTunes and Winamp 5 out of the box. Easy set up, AMAZING range. The number pad is nice because it also doubles as a calculator, but it also tells you room temperature, date, and time.
If you don't need Bluetooth, this is the keyboard for you. Just buy it already.2 out of 2 users found this user opinion helpful.

Sleek and easy to use with Desktop or Laptop

Summary: Hey, this is by far and away the best keyboard mouse combo I've used and the separate 10-key is fantastic for us lefty's that have to pound in some numbers. Low profile lightweight keyboard that has a few extras, but is not aimed directly at the multimedia user. The usable distace is fantastic making this a nifty choice for use with my HDTV's and home automation system. Plus it travels well with the laptop. Price was not a concern as a major computer manufacturer added it to a system for a super reasonable price.

Overrated; needs serious revamp

Summary: At first the DiNovo seemed like the solution. And, well, overall it physically does what it's supposed to do. However, once you start actually using the keyboard and separate 10-key, things go downhill fast.
SEVERAL times a day, I get some kind of mixed signals from the keyboard and keypad to the receiver. Moving back and forth, as when using Excel, usually results in depressed keys not even registering on screen. It is as though at least the first few keystrokes are necessary to simply re-establish which unit is being used at that moment. Coupled with the "sticking key" action when going back and forth in a spreadsheet (resulting in overwritten cells), I am surpremely annoyed with this product. The physical idea is wonderful, the application stinks. I'm going to look for something else and hope I can sell this unit on eBay... -
I bought it for its looks, was suprised by its feel
by taitelbaum on November 28, 2005
Pros: Installs easily and I'm up to speed immediately. Great keyboard for typing. Functional keys are to the point and exactly what I needed
Cons: I would rather an outside temperature featrue or tie-in to online weather rather than room temp.

Summary: I wanted a nice looking wireless keyboard for my laptop (using it as my main desktop unit for the home now). USB wireless works fine and I was very impressed with the keyboard feel (good for fast typists). The media and direct access keys are just right for the home (email, my docs, etc..). My wife particularly wanted the separte numeric pad. The mouse had an "off" button (this will extend battery life from a month and a half to about 4-5 months based on my previous experiences (since during the daytime or late night the unit will be idle, you can turn off the mouse). Many optical mice, do not have this and the small but constant drain will use up more of their battery. Too bad it's not automatic, I always forget. Oh yes, no more cords pulling on the mouse or keyboard and it is much neater looking all around.

Life is short and I spend to much of it on a keyboard...

Pros: The look and feel of a sleek "Lexus" design.
Cons: I wish is had a battery meter. The letter are too small on the key caps are too small.
Summary: Like I said, I spend my life on a keyboard and I wanted something that took serious users in mind and this keyboard does just this.

I can never go back to "the cord" nor to those huge rasied keyboard keys from traditional desktop keyboards.
To solve the problem of the letter keys being too small, I purchased some keyboard stickers from a company called glow-key.com.
Now the keys glow in the dark too.
I recommend this keyboard to people who enjoys a smooth typing device. -
Easy on the eyes, easy on the hands
by zhuuu on September 6, 2005
Pros: Sleek looking, low profile, keys have great tactile feel, no button sprawl, long (5 yr) warranty
Cons: Some keys require a lot more force than I'm used to, thermometer is hopelessly inaccurate, expensive!!!

Summary: I've had the diNovo wireless set for around a month now. After using a laptop for the past five years I felt very uncomfortable with the standard desktop keyboards and their deep rigid strokes. The diNovo felt great on the hands with their shallow spring-loaded keys.
Design-wise, the diNovo looks fabulous. The keyboard is very low profile and is dressed in a simple two-tone scheme (silver/black). One of the things that I liked the best is the fact that it doesn't have a whole bunch of useless keys like almost every other keyboard out there. I don't need keys that change my MSN status, and I don't need keys that open up website shortcuts. The diNovo is as a result very clean and the extra buttons are for the most part low-key and unobtrusive. Unlike most other upscale keyboards, the diNovo is also squarish and symmetrical, rather than having curved corners. It matches well with other visible hardware like a LCD monitor (also having sharp corners). People who've seen it had nothing but praises.
The detachable number pad is also very useful and frees up some space as it can be placed elsewhere.
On the negative side, some of the keys are not very sensitive and require a lot more force to get recognition. The control key and the spacebar are the two most important ones that suffer from this. I end up having to delete back to a word that didn't get separated from the previous one. Lately I've habitualized and now use more pressure.
Also, the calculator built into the number pad can never manage to get the temperature right. It's always a few degrees Celsius too high and a Logitech rep replied saying that it "measures local temperature rather than ambient room temperature". Very useful... -
Laptop Keyboard for the Desktop

Summary: Let me get the cons out of the way first. My first con probably does not apply to the average PC user, and this wouldn't be a con for me if it never happened. Of course most new keyboards are USB only these days, but I wish there was still a PS2 cord hanging around for when you are installing a new operating system that requires USB drivers - luckily I keep a spare keyboard and mouse around to take care of this. I must say that this happened to me when installing a beta operating system, so full retail versions are probably okay. Final Con: Price - this sucker is pretty expensive for just being a cordless keyboard & mouse combination. At $149.99 I really don't think I need to say anymore about the price, but if you think that is a lot check out th Bluetooth model! Maybe if Logitech added a charging device for the mouse the price wouldn't hurt so much.
Onto the things I love about this setup. First and foremost, this is the biggest seller for me: the keyboard. I have been using a laptop for years to do most of my work and absolutely love the closer input buttons on the keyboard - I can type so much faster! This is the only decent laptop-like keyboard for a PC on the market. Second: the mouse. I like it. It is simple - I'm not a fan of mice with tons of features or buttons on them. I do a lot of graphic design and I've found that I can get more precision out of a mouse that allows me to rest the back of my hand on the desk, so I like a smaller mouse! The number pad is detached and contains a calulator. I stick the num pad out of the way when I'm not using it giving me more room for whatever. I am surprised at how often I use the calculator - I never thought I'd use it. It is a simple calculator, so don't think it is going to do trig or algebraic equations. Lastly, I love the ergonomics and looks. I find it pretty funny when someone walks into my home office where I have multiple monitors and a pretty neat looking computer to say "wow, where did you get that keyboard?" -
Quality product, but at a cost.
by Sergusha on April 22, 2005
Pros: Ultra slim and cool look & feel! Small reciever!
Cons: AA Batteries can become costly over long time use.
Summary: It's a great product! It has a laptop feel keys, and I love the "component" idea (mouse, keyboard & numpad). Great for users like me who have desktop + laptop.

Nice but much too expensive.
Pros: Excellent keyboard. Nice design. Nice, practical big Delete key, as previous poster said (actually I think this is a big plus). Reliability: too soon to tell.
Cons: Cheap mouse. No way to NumLock the external keypad ?? Confusing markings on the function keys (traditional F1, F2 etc. lettering replaced by customized, not necessarily useful Logitech markings). Bundled media application uninteresting.

Still the most elegant keyboard there is.
Pros: The superb design and construction materials of the original DiNovo, without the hassles of inadequate 3rd-party bluetooth drivers to mar the experience.
Cons: Not quite as well-made as my first set - some keys occasionally have an odd unsettled click when pressed off-centered while typing. USB wireless transceiver doesn't work with the MX1000 laser mouse, which seems like a no-brainer and instead complicates se
