The good: The Logitech diNovo Mini's elegant design won't besmirch your living room; it gives the HTPC owner full cursor control; keyboard is well-suited to situational typing; easy setup; it works with your PS3.
The bad: Pricey; touch pad occasionally inaccurate; no Xbox 360 or Apple support.
The bottom line: If you're a home theater PC owner looking for the perfect input device, look no further. Logitech has melded the keyboard of a BlackBerry with a flexible cursor control pad into an attractive, coffee-table-ready package that will let you master your HTPC without cluttering up your living room with clunky hardware.

Good Idea, Medium Performance - NOT GREAT
by gukkatan on June 23, 2011
Pros: Looks good,
illuminated keyboard,
battery life satisfactory for casual HTPC use.
light weight
easy install
good reception and connectivityCons: key functions such as mouse right-click (and dashes), escape button and arrows require multiple button pressing, no scroll (instead there is page up/down), mouse pad with life of its own..., perhaps a bit too small (but that's a matter of taste), after a

Excellent buy, great quality
by joeydrunk on January 30, 2011
Pros: Great style and craftmanship, SEXY, controls my logitech revue, tv and avr. I can't believe some of these reviews. It extreme well built, I've had mine 3 months and I've charged it 3 times and I use it constantly. The mouse pad is extremely sensitive
Cons: what's slightly negative is that it can be a little overwhelming with so mqny buttons and can take some time to get use to. Also for prey much every button there's a separate function on the wame button age either push the shift key or function key.
Summary: Bottom line is this- picture harmony remote for pc or Google tv. I love that you flick a switch and it goes from touch pad to directional pad and ok ...

this product is a must have for any theater p.c.
by smithderek76 on December 26, 2010
Pros: easy to use lightweight features mouse keyboard and media remote control all in one makes using your tv as your computer screen a pleasure and eliminates the need for a bulky keyboard and a separate mouse
Cons: it is slightly pricey and would be nice if they included a button to close windows at a touch of a button maybe in the next model

A combination of bad ergonomics and low reliability.
by chenro on December 6, 2010
Pros: Good size, reasonably comfortable for typing.
Cons: Not very comfortable to use, reliability issues, see summary.

2. volume, play/ stop/ ff etc all in one cramped row, same shape, cannot be operated without carefully looking to find the key you want to press by the very small icons, forget remote-like one hand or blind use.
3. commonly used commands such as ESC need two hands operation (need to use Fn), no function keys.(F1-F12)
3. reliability (in a brand new device)- battery clip not holding the battery in place, down arrow needs a very firm push.
4. battery life - one week with mild use.
I could live with some of these in a $15 Chinese BT keyboard, but not for that price. -
Falls short of being what it's advertised as.

Pros: Great LITTLE key board
Cons: A lot smaller than you were led to beleive. Mouse pad is totally unusable, locks up, inacurate, refuses to stay where you set it.

Summary: The mouse pad is so inacurate that it's mearly impossible to use it, especially on higher resolutions. It often refuses to stay where you put it or allow you to click the mouse with your finger still on the pad. I've been using it for a month now and have tried all the settings with out any luck. When you use a simple game like Diamond mine or Treasure Fall it doesn't automatically change the mouse settings for the lower screen resolution, as most other mice do, so the inacuracy is magnafide. Logitech has dropped the price now from the $149.00 I paid to $115.00. Probally to allow dealers to unload their inventory.
Parts of the keyboard are great, like the back lit keys and the handy dust cover. Blue tooth is cool too so you don't have to point it at the PC.
My advice is don't waiste your money. -
Depending on expectation, great for what it is
by Little Poppy on September 6, 2010
Pros: -great feel, easy to hold
-easy to thumb type sms style
-easy to configure, and connects quickly on every reboot
-touchpad is responsive, easier to navigate than my touchpad
-holds charge forever
-compact & easily stows away in any side pocketCons: -sorta hollow and plasticky feeling
-touchpad's left click function sorta clumsy when drag&dropping
-backlit though it times out to quick by default
-confined to hunt and peck thumbing

Summary: I love laptoping at cafes, yet I hate laptop keyboards and touchpads cause I hate using them "in my lap". I have always carried a backback with an extra USB wireless keyboard with a built in trackbal/scrollwheell. In the age of netbooks, it didn't make sense for the kbd to be wider than the netbook, thus defeating the purpose of mobility. Alas, I sought out a handheld Bluetooth with touchpad/scroll functionality. After eyechecking the multitudes of mini-BT-kbd's on eBay, I settled on the reputation and trackrecord of Logitech. Here we go:
first off, this isn't a kbd replacement and would be torchure to do a term paper or spreasheet project soley with this device. It is however great for sitting back on a couch or recliner whilst surfing The backliting works well though it times out just as I'm getting my bearings straight which is probably customizable as the left /right click swap was. That said, as far as laptops go, this is pretty much a surfing/blogging device as I am using it as I write.
I wish Logitech would have deviised a scroll wheel on the shoulder as my older wireless keyboard did, maybe even used the d-pad as a rotating wheel. The D-pad already serves multiple duties, one not so good. It's great as a touchpad, not so great as a left click. Clicking on buttons and objects is not so bad but any action requiring drag&drop is awkward. As stated ealier, Imapped the left click to the right-click's dedicated button, but then I sacrifice my right click functionality. Oh well, I'll dig into the customization eventually.
Though the comfort is nice, any drop from even waist high, the dinovo would stand no chance. It has a very hollow eggshell plastc feel that does not inspire confidence even in the outer most pocket of your sling pack. The battery door on the bottom houses a battery that holds charges via USB forever, and a USB dongle for those without BT.
In all, if I lost this one, I'd probably wait for the nDinovo II cause it will only get better, still, this works good for what it is -

Summary: this little keyboar is super cool.. but extremely expensive for what they give you.. the mouse is very in acurate and takes some getting used to.. battery is rechargable and last and last.. keyboard ligths up.. very well and works everywere i had no issues what so ever exept maybe once and all i did was reset the PC... i works with PS3, laptops ( it comes with its on hiden dongle for traveling) amazing but the mouse pointer needs work seriously...
i plan to keep it for a while since it al there is write know ( palm size in the market) there is a altinative but you must have a iphoen 3gs, 3g or 4 for this and its free.. logitec make a server base wifi aplication.. ( you need home wifi for this) and install a free app in your iphone and download one in your pc... ( NOT FOR MAC??) and works just like the mose even better but i has issue i will constanly on log and go to sleep... the pointer is very acurate better that the dinovo, and the keyboard is fast also... but stil taht issue with disconecting and conecting keeps me frustrated and thats why i find using my Dinovo a little more..
i dont know why the wont make that software for a mac its a great feture in iphone and pc... i could replace all does keyboard if they got it to stop going to sleep and disconecting.. seriesly.. amazing program.. for free try it..
dinovo is fine but if you dont have that much cash to spend i would wait for a dierant solution.. -
It makes me sad, In therory it was everything i wanted
by dpcassil on December 3, 2009
Pros: Bluetooth, couch usable mouse (sort of), clamshell design (almost) really other than bluetooth all of the pros are almost pros. ( like they would be pros is they were implemented with more care and thought)
Cons: Size (i know i know its suposed to be small but if you get one it will be about 50% smaller than you were thinking)
Faulty down button (seems to be more than just mine per other reviews)
glitch-tastic (sometimes it hangs, some times it doesnt work)Summary: I really really wanted this to work, I had very small and very realistic expectations. I have a media pc connected to my TV, all this remote had to do ...
Summary: I really really wanted this to work, I had very small and very realistic expectations. I have a media pc connected to my TV, all this remote had to do was work with hulu desktop, XBMC, and on ocasion surf the web. In short it didnt do this.
The directional pad was so spastic that i spent more time trying to navigate huludesktop than watching the shows. (hit the down button and it may do nothing, may hit enter, hit any direction and its just as likely to hit enter as the direction) and i have small hands so its not like i am just incapable of hitting the precise part of the pad. Sometimes the whole thing would slow down like if you ever tried to run vista on a 286 or something :) the currsor would slowly make its way and jump around the screen like i was getting 2-3 fps (by the way I have an AMD Quadcore with 4gbs or ddr2 and 2.3ghz per core) so its not my pc) to the size its small like smaller that a PSP or even the harmony 1000 remote (maybe the same size) and the clam shell is made of super thin plastic it does not feel refined or anything like a $150 prodcut should feel. (i paid $89. with free shipping and stillreturned it) I have Very high hopes for a second gen of this prodcut as they are probably fyling off the shelves mine was on back order for 1 month (probably becasue of the price) so hopefully there was enough responce to get logitech to try again. I have loved nearly every logitech prodcut i have owned so its not the company just a few cut corners to hit a price point which is still to high for the end prodcut would have prefered to pay and extra $20 or so for a more substntial clamshell cover and a little more refinement to controls and finish. IMHO -
Keyboard sometimes not recognized after reboot.
by andreitamas on November 25, 2009
Pros: It's small and looks nice in the room.
It won't look like a keyboard in the living room.
Recharging capability is a good feature and a charge lasts for a two weeks or more.Cons: Pricey.
Inconsistent performance - keyboard fails to be recognized from time to time.Summary: Every few days the Keyboard is not recognized by the PC. I figured out that I have to go to the PC, unplug the USB dongle, wait one minute and ...
Summary: Every few days the Keyboard is not recognized by the PC. I figured out that I have to go to the PC, unplug the USB dongle, wait one minute and plug it back in. Then I reboot and the keyboard is usually recognized. For me it is very inconvenient to do this because my media center pc is in the crawl space beneath my living room. I spent a lot of money on this keyboard in order to not have to do just that. I was hoping to set it and forget it and this keyboard does not deliver.

Almost There Logitech!!
by neptune178 on November 10, 2009
Pros: Near-Remote size wireless keyboard/mouse combo for your HTPC, duh.
Cons: Sadly, still not a complete HTPC media center input device. No IR so no controlling your TV/Stereo/Cable Box ect...
Summary: Logitech, why must you make me pick up an entirely different piece of plastic in order to change my TV input to PC so I can use this thing? Why?!
