Nice looking, tough case, with a couple of flaws
by toomath on April 30, 2011
Pros: The aluminum looks great, and the iPad fits snugly and perfectly into the keyboard feels sturdy and the iPad never feels like it will slip out. Was easy to set up and got it working in 30 seconds. Keyboard is the right size for my hands (I am a woman with
Cons: The plastic part that the iPad leans against when the keyboard is open (the easel mechanism) feels very flimsy compared to the rest of the product. Would like to have seen this made out of a heavier material.
No back protection, but then again, that's no
Summary: Would buy this again - looks great, feels great, works well - just need to be careful with that easel mechanism. And make sure you read the instructions on how ...

Good, could be better
by ivaahd on April 24, 2011
Pros: Case is very streamlined and elegant, adds minimal bulk & weight to ipad 2. The action on the keyboard feels really nice, I enjoy typing on it even though it is a small netbook sized keyboard
Cons: It is difficult to unseat the ipad from the case. I have to use a fair amount of force to remove the ipad 2 from it's ZAGGmate keyboard case, enough that it hurts my fingertips.
Sometimes the ipad seems to loose the connection with the keyboard even
Summary: The Zaggmate logitech keyboard is the most physically appealing, slimmest, most portable keyboard option for the ipad, and its flaws are such that I still think it is the best ...

Ruff around the edges.
by autobehr on April 23, 2011
Pros: Works great, as described. I sell iPads, and they had these for the 1st Gen under the original Zagg name.
Cons: I have big mitts for hands. I know I will have trouble with any netbook type keyboard. But what got me about this one is that I find part of my palms/wrist wresting on the aluminum edge. I know how SS feels. The finished, but could use a little more round
Summary: Great for what it does. Cant Man handle it. Not your average netbook keyboard. Not for the big guys. Kick stand feels like I'm going to snap it off ...

Great concept, but cheap construction makes it useless
by JoeForkeybolo on November 17, 2011
Pros: Very protective. Easy sync. Great keyboard. Great design.
Cons: It is so cheaply constructed that, unless you baby it, it will need to be replaced several times a year. This really defeats the purpose of having a rugged LOOKING case.

Summary: I have had to return three of these now. The first just stopped working. It was replaced under warranty by a second whose flimsy charge components came out of the device still attached to the charge cord within the first week. The third did the same thing. I am willing to accept one bad product as an honest mistake. The second really turns me off of a product. The THIRD makes me come to sites like this and warn potential customers that despite the high price, the quality on this case is too low for it be be taken seriously.

Great in theory... but...

Summary: I bought this case and fell in love. Best keyboard layout I've used so far. However shortly after purchasing it, I noticed that it wasn't getting anywhere near the usage time promised in the official specs. I contacted logitech which said the unit was defective. After about a month of back-and-forth with Logitech, they agreed to replace the faulty product. However, when I sent a copy of my receipt, their customer support rep said that I had purchased the case from a "non official" vendor and therefore my warranty was invalid. Buy.com has been around forever. How was I supposed to know whether they were "official" or not? I will not buy another Logitech product and I suggest you don't either because there's no telling if they'll actually stand behind it if it is defective.

Much easier to type
by gazbo66 on November 4, 2011
Pros: Light, fits the ipad well, blends in with the back of the ipad. Typing is a whole lot easier. I don't normally type huge amounts on the ipad but sometimes I have to, and then the case is awesome. Viewing angle is good. Good battery life.
Cons: The ipad doesn't come out of the case as easy or quickly as I would like. The USB connector is not the standard used for phones.
Summary: I'm glad I bought it and would not go back to the touch screen typing only.

All around uncomfortable
by BrookeMBA on September 19, 2011
Pros: lightweight, easily portable, sleek look

Summary: I was intrigued by this keyboard after seeing a friend use his, however once I had it for a week I had to return it. Didn't feel safe carrying it around without a sleeve which defeated my purpose of purchasing it - lightweight & thin, sleek design. Also caused me pain and discomfort trying to type on it as the lip around the edge dug into my hands. Keyboard is small, which is expected, but seemed smaller than the one I bought to replace it.

Best ipad accessory!
by mantho01 on June 22, 2011
Pros: Looks great when closed on the ipad.
Short cut keys are great, especially for cut and paste. contrary to what the video review says, you can hold down the shift key and use the navigation arrows to select text when typing and use the shortcut keys to cut/
Cons: Case on it's own can be bent out of shape and marks easily.
Keyboard a small bit cramped for typing but they've made best use out of the space available.
Once big con is that it can only be used with bluetooth which rules out using it on flights....would
Summary: Extremely pleased with it. As the video review mentioned, after just a few minutes use you almost forget that you're using an ipad, feels like a netbook....
