The good: Small profile; powerful macro software; smooth typing; strong desk grip.
The bad: Only one spare USB port; dim, non-adjustable LED backlighting; unintuitive software.
The bottom line: Razer's Lycosa gaming keyboard has a lot of promise, and it mostly delivers, thanks to its solid feel, smooth typing, and powerful macro capabilities. We wish Razer had paid more attention to the LED lighting, but for strong touch-typing gamers, we think you'll like the Lycosa once you put your hands on it.
Pros: No slipping, macro recording, awesome response time, media buttons (their touch keys and look so cool), glowing keys, very thin, wrist rest isn't annoying usually I hate the wrist rest but this one fits perfectly, just looks so damn cool :P
Cons: Probably not worth 100 dollars that I spent for it, more like 80 but close enough. Needs more extra buttons.

Summary: I love this thing, I play Gunz Online if any of you know that game and this keyboard improved my game by a lot because the response time is so much better than usual keyboards and the anti-ghosting is such a huge help..I can't count how many times I've not been able to use a key at the right moment because the keyboard doesn't allow me to hit more than about 2~3 keys at once but this solves that. The only thing I don't like is the price (I don't regret buying it though) and the fact that most keyboard around this price have extra macro keys on the side....but who cares about all that when its so much better looking than those other ones.
Pros: Solid and stable, yet has a small form factor. Keys are very responsive.
Cons: WIthout backlight, one cannot read the keys AT ALL. With backlight, you can read some keys, in the dark (not in daylight). Backlight in general is not nearly strong enough to make the keyboard usable for anyone but a proficient touch typer.
Summary: Unusable for me as I cannot type without seeing the key inscriptions. The backlight on mine is a) in-homogenous (i.e. the middle is hardly lit at all, the sides ...
Summary: Unusable for me as I cannot type without seeing the key inscriptions. The backlight on mine is a) in-homogenous (i.e. the middle is hardly lit at all, the sides a bit better.. I might have a faulty one??) and b) simply overall not bright enough to allow me to read the keys reliably in daylight or even night. Would need the backlight for ALL keys to be as bright as the enhanced lighting option for the wasd keys which is lit brighter than the rest of the keys. As it is, I will return the keyboard.
Pros: Thin easy on the fingers lights look cool, but is not worth it if the board doesn't work.
Cons: Keys lock down and shut down Lights go on and off and sometimes do no stay on. Customer service will not return your emails.
Summary: This Razer Lycosa key is crap. Even after awing of the thin lighted keys the keyboard itself is worthless along with the manufactures that made this and their customer service....

The Lycosa has many flaws that have been brought to the attention of customer service and have nothing to respond to my emails. The keyboard tends to dismiss ceratin keys like backspace, Letters D, P, I O, C and Ctrl. Apart from this huge flaw once in a great while the keys stay locked for some reason even thought the physical key is not stuck or anything the letters repeat themselves until you disconnect the keyboard. Apart this these two huh flaws the lights go on and off even when you touch the light feature to switch from gamer mode to regular keyboard. I?ve contacted customer service thought their website and have not heard from them for other 2 months.
I?ve installed the software which doesn?t help with the problem, I?ve used the keyboard without the software too same problem. The keyboard is connected directly to a USB port on my desktop and not to a hub. The only way to get this working for a couple hours at a time is to disconnect the USB and connect it back which needs to be done at least 2 times a day. My old keyboard that which I used to use with windows 98 works better than this lycosa from razer I purchased this year 2008. I tried getting a refund but no solution. For this being a $70 dollar keyboard it sure has a lot of problem I do no sugguest this or any other product From Razer.
