Does not hold the new iPad 3rd generation
by nashbill on March 28, 2012
Pros: A very handy keyboard. Looks sleek.
Cons: It does not hold the iPad in place when it is closed up. If you pick it up without holding iPad in place, the iPad will fall out. Transportability is very poor.
Summary: Don't buy it unless you are not taking this out of the house. And especially don't buy it from ThinkGeek. The help line monkeys don't have product ...

Summary: Don't buy it unless you are not taking this out of the house. And especially don't buy it from ThinkGeek. The help line monkeys don't have product knowlege to answer questions. I called before ordering to make sure it was compadible with the new iPad and I was assured that it was. It is not. The new iPad must be just a bit smaller than the iPad 2. It will fall out of the case easily.

BEST keyboard/case combo!
by Nyneve922 on February 28, 2012
Pros: Nearly full-size keyboard, easy to type on. Bluetooth connectivity. Protection and functionality all in one. Looks slick. Battery lasts forever. Nice snug fit to iPad. Cutout for charging port. Wayyy better than carrying around a laptop.
Cons: Made of aluminum, apparently, so it dents relatively easily. No cutout for headphone jack. Folding stand-up rest for iPad feels flimsy, though it has never failed me. Arrow keys are arranged weirdly.

very nice and handy accessory for ipad!highly recommend
by crc711 on April 29, 2011
Pros: It is strongly built, a great help for typing and can almost turn your ipad into a laptop.
Cons: sharp egdes but not bad. The only other thing is that when you tilt the product forward, or towwards you it can easily tip over, but both of these things are only minor.
Summary: Very nice functional product, keys type well and also feel well despite being small. Also the fram and structure of it isn't flexable and holds the ipad firmly. If ...

Summary: Very nice functional product, keys type well and also feel well despite being small. Also the fram and structure of it isn't flexable and holds the ipad firmly. If you are considering buying this i would recommend amazo(n) because they give u a price break on the ipad 1 version. I bought this because i wanted to get some cool accessories for my ipad before i earn money for eater and ipad 3 or a 2011 mac book air, and so i wanted to have something cool between now and then so i got this, i also purchased a sng ipad carbon fiber skin gard, both very nice products. o and the zaggmate connects with your ipads bluetooth easly after first connecting them. I highly recommend this product is you want protection for ur ipad and also want the extra function ability of it. also you can lay it down face up, propped up by the stand , for a roughly 140 deggree angle, so anyways i would recommend this product.

finally an accessory that actually makes my IPad better
by cardogsink on March 25, 2011
Pros: Accommodates the IPad in both portrait and landscape mode - really nice quality feel to the keyboard - doubles up as a safe and secure case without adding any significant weight or bulk to the IPad - the 'aircraft grade' ( sic ) spun aluminum looks great
Cons: Zagg 'cheaped' out on the positioning hinge - we'll see how this holds up over time ?? - or is this 'aircraft grade' plastic ?

Feels Cheap. I bought and returned this within an hour
by mcornelio on January 24, 2011
Pros: Nice concept. Solid aluminum casing. Slick looking.
Cons: The inside looks and "feels" cheap. The back of the iPad is exposed. When the iPad was cradled inside, it "felt" like it was going to fall out. The case felt "cold" and slippery in my hands. The keys on the keyboard felt small and cramped.
Summary: I returned it to the store for a full refund. I will keep my Apple Bluetooth Keyboard and Belkin stand and my Apple iPad case. I like the feel of ...

Summary: I returned it to the store for a full refund. I will keep my Apple Bluetooth Keyboard and Belkin stand and my Apple iPad case. I like the feel of the microfiber Apple case in my hand when I'm carrying my iPad around--it has just the right amount of "grip" to carry it under my arm comfortably. I would be afraid that the Zaggmate would slip out of my grip. And, the Apple Bluetooth keyboard is a joy to type on--it's even better than the keyboard on my Dell and HP and Acer laptops.
In all honesty, had I not already experienced the great ergonomic quality of the Apple Bluetooth keyboard before buying/trying the Zaggmate, I might have considered keeping the Zaggmate.
