Summary: I own many 2port and one 4 port VGA KVM, and all have occasional problems requiring a power reset. Not so the CS1754a. It?s been flawless the month I?ve used it; not one hiccup. It has many nice features, like remembering each PC?s screen resolution (so PC?s can boot when not having the KVM?s focus, and the screen will be correct, which is a very nice feature), and it many configurable options (although the mouse-emulation does not recognize my MS IntelliMouse ?back? button for some reason, although it works OK in ?pass thru? mode). In short, it works like a charm.
Description:The CubiQ CS1764A USB 2.0 DVI KVMP switch charts a revolutionary direction in KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) switch functionality by combining a 4 port KVM switch with a 2 port USB 2.0 hub at the same time as it provides an interface for a digital monitor (DVI). In addition, the CS1764A comes with ATEN's Video DynaSync technology, which optimizes display resolution, and power on detection, which means if one computer is powered off, the CS1764A will automatically switch to the next powered-on computer. As a KVM switch, it allows users to access four computers from a single USB keyboard, USB mouse, and monitor console. As a USB 2.0 hub, it permits each computer to access any peripherals connected to the hub on a 'one computer at a time' basis.
