Summary: This performs bad in almost every aspect: a) Video: Reduces the quality of the image, also adding flickering b) Keyboard: Doesn't recognize my G15 Gaming Keyboard... it works as a generic keyboard instead, no macros nor LCD c) Mouse: Performs adequately here d) Audio: It adds signigicant noise even at low volumes My suggestion? Wait for the DVI KVMs to get cheaper.
Pros: Pretty Looking. Excellent advertisement. Digital
Cons: Works with only the cheapest wired mouse and keyboard (no wireless or bluetooth). Hangs if keyboard takes more than minimal power, say illuminated keyboard. Does not work with keyboard and mouse with common receiver. Does not work as advertised

Summary: I bought this because I wanted to hook two computers with common Keyboard Video and Mouse (KVM). I originally had MX5000 keyboard + mouse combo from logitech. It didn't work with it. Tech Support told me it will not work with any combo that has a common receiver for mouse and keyboard. I thought well, ok, keyboard mouse is aging anyway, I will go get another one. So I got another keyboard + mouse, but this time I made sure the receivers were seperate. The Fracking tech support now says it won't work with these either. Turns out, this thing only works with the very basic keyboard and mouse. I got a Logitech MX Revolution mouse and Logitech illuminated keyboard. The keyboard hangs the KVM switch, support says it may be taking too much power from the port, well, duh, it works with computer USB. Oh mouse, they say is not compatible.
Pros: Easy, functional, no install on XP or Vista, no power required
Cons: Haven't found any yet.

Summary: I thought I was going to be in trouble with this thing - hooking up Windows XP machine to a Vista 32 SP1 (beta) sharing a viewsonic 21" screen. I plugged everything in, hardware detected, and everything worked! Not one hickup - audio shared, lots of functionality with audio between different shares, even a push button on the front of the unit if you don't want to use hotkey. Nice feature, but doubt I will use it. I have old Logitech keyboard that I had to plug both the USB and the funny purple DIN into my XP machine, but the KVM made both keyboard and Mouse work with just the USB... I am just very impressed - it is rare to get something that works so well on the first plug-in. Highly recommend.
