Pros: I don't remember any.
Cons: This printer stops to print for no reason at all! I used to uninstall and reinstall the driver to make work and this was successful. But now even on uninstalling and reinstalling it does not print. It gives me the error message (roughly)sometimes "The pr

Bad Drivers/Good print quality
by swhawabh on October 30, 2010
Pros: Most things print pretty well. I can't remember any jams.
Cons: I agree with most comments on this site. I have to reboot my computer any time something happens (eg. forget to load paper...reboot; cancel a job...reboot; forget to load an envelop vs paper...reboot;). I've tried updating drivers, but no luck.
Summary: When it works, it works great...but more often than not, it's a pain to use.

Ok printer, sucks sometimes
by Lalaland84 on September 24, 2010
Pros: does the job most of the time.
Cons: It does not let you cancel documents. You have to re-start the pc just for this.

Summary: my manager bought this for me when I first start working for him in Jan 2009. it does the job most of the times, it's just a B/W printer, cheap, so what do you expect?
but one thing really makes me upset sometimes, is that it does not let me cancel documents that're printing. and as soon as you clicked on cancel. the printer is kinda like frozen, and there is nothing you can do without re-start the pc, especially sometimes when things are in a rush at work, this printer can really be a headache if that happens.
I would say, if it's just for work, sure, doesn't have to buy a super nice one. but if you're planning to buy for home, then you might wanna look around a bit more, don't buy this one. -
Terrible printer
by serlichman on March 12, 2010
Pros: It is cheap. It prints, sometimes. Copy quality good, when you get it. It is fast, when it does happen to print. I can't think of anything else that is positive about this printer.
Cons: This printer cannot print more than 20 pages without overheating and stopping. You have to slam down the lid five times. That prompts a test page. Sometimes the printer won't print at all, and it is impossible to cancel print jobs.
Summary: This printer functions poorly. I had a similarly priced HP printer for 10 years with no problems. When I upgraded to a MAC the portals were different and I had ...
Summary: This printer functions poorly. I had a similarly priced HP printer for 10 years with no problems. When I upgraded to a MAC the portals were different and I had to buy a new printer. This printer gives off a burning smell after 20 pages. It doesn't always print. It sometimes stops for no reason and I have to slam down the lid 5 times (HP customer service advised me to do this) to make it start. This produces a lined test page--I've wasted many pages doing this. HP seems to have downgraded the quality of its low-end printers. Do yourself a favour and buy something else.

Requires constant re-installs
by naisiwel on November 17, 2009
Pros: Thankfully ended any thought that I should buy HP products. After this printer never again!
Cons: If you try and delete a document that it refuses to print then thats it - the printer ceases to work and the only way back is to totally uninstall and then reinstall. Save yourself time and money and buy a reputable brand.

Perfect for me, a college student
by krafla on May 30, 2009
Pros: Very Cost effective, as it's very cheap and it's toner/cartridge is also cheap, i print around 900-1500 pages monthly and the toner duty cycle is around 5000 pages which is Amazing
Cons: Due to the high usage volume i do, 15 pages/minute is not perfect, but convenient, not bad!
