Pretty good printer for the price.
by ktmkemp on May 10, 2007
Pros: Fast, pretty reliable.
Cons: Jams every 10 pages. This is the worst part of this printer. It would be pretty good if it didnt jam so many times.

So far, I have only praise for this printer

Summary: This printer is unbeatable for the price. It's my replacement for a very old IBM 4019, which printed beautifully, but cost almost 20 times the ML-2010. Be aware, if you are installing it under Linux with a 64-bit processor, you must use the ML-1710 driver, until Samsung updates their driver. Feeding envelopes is a bit awkward and crinkles the envelop, but this may be my lack of experience. Grayscale results are not the best, but that's not why I bought this model. JPG text files print perfectly.

Best printer on the market for the money

Summary: This is the best printer I have ever purchased for so little amount of money. I have printed more pages with this printer in a shorter time than I have ever before. It is fast, it is efficient, it has great duplexing ability, and has an excellent online manual that will help you fix any problem you should have. (ie. it will walk you through removing paperjams very easily, and the printer handels reprinting the misprinted page automatically.) I'm looking for a good deal to buy another.

Awesome quality, great price and speed

Summary: I got this printer because I was printing so much text on my little inkjet that it was costing a fortune. This printer handles text great and prints amazingly fast for the price! It is nice and tiny-- just a bit taller and deeper then my inkjet, but no wider. My one complaint- the fan that cools it down is kinda loud (at least on mine) and it stays on for a few minutes after printing, so you have to deal with the noise... and when it starts to warm up, it makes my desk lamp flicker... which is kinda weird, but oh well. Over all, this is a super printer for the price and I would highly recommend it!

Summary: The ML-2010 is a bargain buy to be sure. And not in a bad way. This printer produces high quality text outputs and does so quickly by home office standards. I run a resume service and use this for printing on a high-quality cotton blend paper. The text is always super sharp and crisp, however, because the printer generates such extreme heat when printing it often "rolls" the paper as it is printing and is VERY susceptible to paper jams, which will then leave smears and streaks of toner on your next couple of pages. I have probably wasted 100 sheets of paper in two years a result of this inconvenience. However the quality for the price is hard to beat.

I've printed several sheets, adjusted the preferences to make it a little darker but I can't complain. It is really quick compared to my old Lexmark inkjet and the quality of print is good. How can you complain about a laser jet for under $50?1 out of 2 users found this user opinion helpful.

Get more then your moneys worth. It pays to shop!

Summary: I was tired of Ink Jet and Bubble Jet printers. It gets old when you have to replace ink cartridges every time you turn around. One of the other reviews mentioned that the toner that came with the Samsung ML-2010 seemed to be limited. If this person were to read the box or research the product they would have known that the printer comes with a 1000 page Toner Cartridge and the regular refill promises about 3000 copies. Remember that Samsung promises you will get much more if you utilize the (Toner Saver Option.) It seems the normal price for a 3000 page refill is about 75.00 but with little effort I was able to find the same refill for approximately 40.00 on line. Lets not forget about EBay. I was able to purchase and have this printer shiped for 88.00 with a Buy It Now purchase from a Samsung dealer. When I registered on line Samsung gave me an instant 3 month extension on my warranty. A very good printer from a very good company.

Update on February 15, 2011 review
by R. E. McKinley on September 14, 2011
Pros: Since fixing the jamming problem this printer has proven to be a dependable office workhorse. Economical to operate.
Cons: Not a good printer for marketing product, but plenty good for instruction sheets and office transmittals.

I suggested removing the feed wheel and wrapping rubber bands around it as a temporary solution.
To my amazement it has been 7 months since I put them on and they are still going strong and I've only had one jam in that time and that appeared to be caused by static electricity between the paper sheets.
Removing the wheel is the problem and you may have to remove the top of the case to get to it. Samsung is not too helpful in supplying instruction to accomplish this feat but if your are somewhat mechanically inclined you should be able to accomplish it. Once off, the wheel snaps easily back into place after wrapping the rubber bands around it. Be sure to be gentle when removing the wheel as the gears are only plastic. Hope this helps. remckinley@verizon.net -
Apparently, what you pay is what you get.
by Itamar1964 on March 6, 2011
Pros: it is a Xerox printer. Supplies are available and relatively cheap.
Small and fits almost everywhere.
Nice design.Cons: This is most definitely not a printer for a SOHO business.
Quality of printing is low.
Almost impossible to access into it and pull out paper getting stuck.Summary: Although at first it worked in reasonably smooth way, it looks like it have this timer waiting for warranty to expire to start showing its true nature...
