by fido1988 on February 3, 2012
Pros: The amount of features it have is amazing it have everything you will ask monitor to have, but its lack LED back lighitng
Cons: the colors is very accurate, you will enjoy playing games hardcore and watching movies but if you put another screen side by side like i did my Mac-book pro LED screen kills it by only one factor that is the brightness

Summary: worth buying but if you are crazy guy who want the best in every product you want to buy this is not for you, on the other hand if you care a lot about the look of the monitor this is not that good looking also its just normal, but all of that will go away if your focus is the quality of the picture and movies you will watch and don't want to spend 800$ then this is the monitor for you , be and because it competes with all other monitors that have higher cost same still doesn't look bad side by side i did compared with DELL ultra sharp my friend got witch cost him around 800$ and i can till he have the idiot face on, because this is worth every dollar i spent and still have things that his monitor doesn't(Dell UltraSharp U2711), i swear i was scared that it wont look good without led i thought it will be bad with windows index and like working in Photoshop etc it wont have that brightness you love in your tv, but its not much lower then my mac-book pro its very very small differences not even worth paying the 300$ extra to get Dell UltraSharp U2711- ofc there is other things that Dell have better like the Hertz etc... but am telling we played same movie and same games side by side this is wins if you are thinking about your money

The all in wonder monitor
by Moulxa on July 16, 2011
Pros: The 24" looks like a 27" compared to other 24" monitors. Great for dvd movies and games.
-Vibrate colours
-It's flexible in positioning if you feel that it is so important.
-Light for a 24".
Cons: -The brightest can give you eye strain when using for non gaming or movie play.
-Manual is only a paragraph with rough sketches of the ports and monitor itself.
-It isn't an attractive monitor for the price your paying.

Summary: I've had the PA246Q since June 2011. Great monitor. Came with a factory calibration report & required very little adjustment when I calibrated it.
I discovered that this monitor will not "Power-On" if I turn on the computer first, unless I disconnect the Display Port cable to my computer. Then the monitor powers up. Might be just my unit, or might be a design problem, I don't know.
I need the Display Port support to run three monitors on my PC.
Overall, a great device for the money, once I discovered how to power it on every time.

-Does what's required, but very well.
by SuprX on December 8, 2011
Pros: -1.07B colors wide-gamut
-Exceptionally vibrant colors
-'Easy' portrait/landscape spin
-Excellent backlighting
-Displayport input
-Quality supplied cables
Cons: -My only serious 'cons' about this beautiful'canvas' is the lack of any manual, or even info. online, describing the logical use of the six-axis gain controls. I am calibrated with a Spyder Pro in RGB, but am curious about an RGBCMY calibration...
Summary: For its quality of function, I am considering a second purchase, though may wait for price; this monitor is currently selling for nearly $100 more than it was a few ...

Summary: This is a superb quality monitor with great colour renditon and an exceptionally wide viewing angle. It's calibrated out of the box and comes supplied with a calibration certificate. Viewing angle is huge, and unlike many inferior monitors, colour rendition isn't compromised at wider viewing angles. The default brightness settings are a little bit fierce, and need winding back somewhat to render blacks properly and get a true impression of how a printed image will look. The printed manual is somewhat scant, however the supplied CD based manual is quite informative - I guess this helps to manage production costs, though I'd happily have paid another £10 on the cost for a decent printed manual.
The USB ports and built-in card reader are quite useful, as is the headphone output which is fed from the HDMI port.
I don't have a problem with the aesthetics - if you want pretty, go buy an i-Mac. For me it's a working tool, not a piece of furniture, and it does its job exceptionally well.
Overall, it represents exceptional value for money, and compared to the days of big CRT monitors, it's an absolute bargain!
