The good: Analog and digital inputs; clean design; sturdy, highly adjustable base; easy onscreen-menu navigation with joystick.
The bad: Mediocre image quality; expensive for a 17-inch monitor.
The bottom line: Most 17-inch monitors can't match the NEC MultiSync LCD1770VX's clean appearance and ease of use; however, so-so image quality limits the NEC's appeal.

Old LCD monitor meant for waste recycling.

Pros: Bright screen

Cons: Small space for a 17" screen as it looks like a 15" screen
Terrible resolution 1280x1024
Not good for using dual monitor applications
Not widescreen, which would make it Worse as the height would decrease though width would increase!

Summary: I just bought a NEC 1770NX, (I don't know what the differnce is between the 1770NX and the 1770VX) but I can't recommend it.
The upper left hand corner is dark,and the lower right hand corner is light.This makes it difficult to adjust properly.The blacks are not really black. this is strange because at work I have a 1760VX and it is fine. I also have at work an nec 1980SXi and it is great.
