Summary: It took me a while to figure out the picture on this one. As a TV (with my XBOX), it looks really really good, but I'm using it as a computer monitor.
1. RESOLUTION: It will only look right at the native resolution of 1920 x 1080. When I first plugged it in to Win 7, the text was too small for me, so I changed the resolution to 1600 x 900, which is very blurry. I had to change it back to 1920 x 1080 and change the Win 7 display settings to Medium - 125% so that the text and other items were bigger. Now everything is very crisp.
2. COLOR: The brights are blinding (in a bad way), and the darks are messy. I had a hard time finding a setting where there's lots of color without being extremely bright while maintaining a realistic black. When the source is a computer, you cannot adjust the color or the tint, which is strange. The screen on my Samsung Galaxy SII Skyrocket cell phone is amazing, and looks way better than this monitor in my opinion.
Here are the settings that I eventually settled on: Mode: Entertain Backlight: 18 Contrast: 100 Brightness: 45 Sharpness: 100 Color Tone: Warm2
If anybody has a setting that they really like, will you please tell me what it is? Thanks.
