  Great mouse when it works. Software bugs cause problems

  Pros: This mouse works extremely well when it works. Like the posts before me, which might just be self-promoting ads for Logitech. However, mice have software, and that has to work well too, which in my case seems not to be the case.

  Cons: Yesterday my mouse worked great. Today, I cannot drag desktop items; i.e. hold down the left mouse button on something and move the mouse. Strange, the left mouse button works. I can click anything with it. The mouse cursor moves when I move.

  Summary: So the left mouse button works, and the mouse cursor moves, but not in tandem. I cannot, for example, select a block of text with the mouse. Apparently the Logitech forum for customer support is not very clear on the subject. For example, there is a Troubleshooting page for the Anywhere mouse that has a Download link that is broken. Sounds to me like a chop-shop of H1B Visa Hardware and C++ software engineers that have little or no marketing, sales, or quality control department. I've worked in them before. One CEO big man at the top demands that the engineering team ship on a specific date and forget quality control, we're gonna ship! No one on the team wants to be the messenger that gets shot, so "Sure boss, we'll be ready". A real company would have hired an outsourcing quality control company to preview their site periodically or have software that scans for broken links. It will probably be fixed by the time you read this.   Worst mouse EVER

  Pros: It has a very tiny usb receptor and lots of buttons

  Cons: Unreliable scroll wheel at first then after 4 months it now is scrolling up constantly, rendering the mouse unusable. Logitech support not helping much.

  Summary: Avoid it at all costs. If you think an expensive mouse is a quality mouse, this is the definitive example of how wrong this thought is.

  Real nice features, even with a Mac !

  Pros: Lots of options, accurate, works anywhere.

  Cons: Steel wheel too heavy for such thin axle. Drop it once, in the garbage can it will go !!!
  Looses big stars because of this.

  Horrible lag makes video games (PVKII) unplayable.

  Pros: Seems to work really well in all other applications. Great tracking, excellent side-scrolling when it actualy works in Pirates, Vikings and Knights II.

  Summary: Maybe my 1 rating was a bit harsh, but considering that I bought the mouse specifically for video games and it renders the games absolutely and completely unplayable, the mouse is virtually useless to me. If the mouse and game worked smoothely together and it maintained its connection, as it seems to in other applications, I'd be in heaven! I nearly cried when I thought of how many hours I'd wasted with my earlier mouse's horrible side-scrolling when compared to the tight controls of the Anywhere MX. All the tight control in the world doesn't do any good when the mouse makes the game run in 1/2 second frozen chunks and doesn't consistently read your mouseclicks.

  Okay, maybe my assessment was too hasty. I used the mouse in Team Fortress 2, also a Half-Life 2 mod, and it worked beautifully! I was completely happy and thrilled with its performance. Now I'm left to assume that inefficient programming is plaguing its performance in Pirates, Vikings and Knights II, a 3d party mod programmed by volunteers. Again, I'd give the mouse a 5 Star rating in TF2 and the other applications I've used it in so far. Apologies extended!

  Wireless mouse with Darkfield & Unifying technology.

  Pros: 1)Comfy ergo shape. 2)Larger than average glide pads on bottom. 3)Choice of smooth or stepped vertical scrolls simply by toggling wheel. 4)Darkfield technology & Unifying technologies currently unmatched by others (i.e. Microsoft!). 5)Wireless.

  Cons: 1) More expensive than other similar featured products (Logitech & others). 2) Side buttons are only right hand friendly. 3) Requires installation of Logitech SetPoint software to configure and link up Unifying devices.

For example, I used it on a Sanwa A4 sized mousepad (http://direct.sanwa.co.jp/ItemPage/MPD-OP34-A4) and paired with a Logitech Wireless K800 Illuminated keyboard ... the level of comfort and overall user interface experience will blow away your idea of "wow, I used to think a mouse is just for clicking, and a keyboard is just for typing". Best wireless mousing experience yet. I can't say I have any significant fault about this device to rant, except the price is on the high side. So it's not on everyone's priority list. But if you seek the best peripheral interface experience out there, this Logitech device from its flagship range can't be beat.

  Summary: I was sitting on the couch and knocked this mouse off the arm rest into a large glass of ice water. I thoroughly dried it out and put the batteries back in and it worked. While I don't recommend this test I was amazed that it worked! 6 months later I am still using this mouse every day I travel. Logitech gets all my business now!

  very high quality construction!!!

  Pros: all materials are top notch ...makes my old optical microsoft mouse look like a piece of junk!!!

  Cons: battery life seems a little below average
  overall size a little small
  a little pricey ...but look for sales...i got mine for 39 bucks at Logitechs website
