Summary: I purchased this mouse and was very happy with how it functioned. On day 10 of using it the scroll wheel quit working. I chalked it up to a defective mouse and went back to BestBuy to get it replaced. Well mouse number 2 made it 7 days before the wheel quit working. Microsoft has a manufacturing defect with this wheel. I'd expect a little more durability from a mouse that costs $60.

Nice design.
by earroyo309 on October 20, 2008
Pros: Decent design. Good travel mouse for a laptop user.
Cons: ?Replaced twice because the scroll wheel stop working in a 5 week window.
Summary: Microsoft needs to fix the problem with the scroll wheel. I have a Logitech that 5 years old and still works great.

Cool Gadget
by ODQuality on October 15, 2008
Pros: I really liked the modern arc shape and small profile. The unique design gets lot of attention when I use it.
Cons: The side thumb button positioning, although minor, is too far forward to ergonomically use it. My biggest problem was that after 3 weeks of use, the scroll wheel stopped working.

Summary: I think Microsoft definately has something with this new mouse. The arc design allows the unit to be both compact and feel like a normal mouse when using it. If Microsoft can improve the durability of the scroll wheel it'll be a popular buy.

I really liked this mouse and figured the issue I encountered was isolated. After a little over a week with a new mouse the scroll wheel for this one stopped working too.

Love the size and the all in one carry pouch.
by charmsbear on December 28, 2008
Pros: Allows you to place the small USB driver under the folded side of the mouse so you do not loose it. I found it easy to operate and I like the speed of the mouse as well.
Cons: Has a generic name under the control panel for changing some of the settings.

Not worth the price tag
by Geischfelt96 on September 9, 2011
Pros: Ergonomic (feels nice in the hand), third button, for minor gaming, nice for travel
Cons: Often will stop functioning while running any game or larger program, mouse wheel is flimsy and wears quickly
Summary: I've had two of these now, and as many others have found, the mouse wheel gives out very quickly. Otherwise, I don't recommend this mouse for any kind ...

I like it, except the back button position.
by BrianMinister on August 10, 2011
Pros: Portable, but if you want to actually keep it protected use the bag.
Cons: Requires reboot when installed. The back button is too far forward.
Summary: I cannot wait to find out how long it will last. So far it is out performing my wireless logitech

Looks Cool, But Painful and Inaccurate in use...
by ptayar on July 30, 2011
Pros: Portability and aesthetics, BUT....
Cons: After only 10 minutes of use my hand was in pain, the design is seriously flawed!
Fine control of the mouse is also difficult given this shape.
Summary: Form is great, but function is the worst I've experienced, took mine back to the store after 10 minutes of frustrating and painful use.

Loved it until it quit working
by bassetacre on June 25, 2011
Pros: Nice fit, good feel in the hand. I like the fact that I didn't get a pain in my hand while using this mouse. I like the size and easy storage of the unit when not in use.
Cons: Although the drivers say the device is working properly, it doesn't work at all. I can see the light turn on when I open the mouse then it fades and never returns. There is nothing on the Microsoft sight to give any clue to troubleshoot this problem. I r
Summary: Loved it, now don't love it. Wish I could find an answer to the reason why it quit working.

Summary: I replaced the standard wired Dell mouse my IT department provided me with at work with one of these about a year ago. I've used it 8-10 hours a day since then without any comfort issues. What's even better is that when I travel for work, I just fold up my mouse, throw it in my suitcase and hit the road. Having used mini travel mice before with some frustration, I really appreciate working on the road with the full-size mouse I'm accustomed too without having to give up much space in my carry-on.
I'd prefer to have this mouse be rechargeable through a USB connection to save some money on batteries, but that said the AAA battereies keep it going for about a month (and again, I use it 8-10 hours a day, 5 days a week).
I highly recommend this mouse, whether or not you intend to travel with it.
