It's about time!!!
by mrremedy1991 on October 14, 2011
Pros: Works anywhere as advertised. Sleek and comfortable. Tracks well with all my applications. Very good response when using graphic intensive editors. Good battery low indicator. Very smart auto-shutoff feature - save battery life.
Cons: Only one Con that I can think of. The battery life runs me on the average of 1.5 months between batteries. It gets heavy use. Microsoft tech spec says 10 months battery life, but doesn't indicate house much use.
Summary: I bought one and used it for about a month. I liked it so much, I bought one for all 6 of my computers, not including the two I use ...

Gave it to my sis to try out and she don't like it as well for poor precision control.

Does exactly what its supposed to for a reasonable cost
by acm100 on May 19, 2011
Pros: Works on nearly all surfaces (just not glass from my experiences). The button on the side is surprisingly useful. The grippy sides make it easy to use.
Cons: The battery life isn't great, though I don't think it's a huge deal. The scroll thing is a bit smooth though you get used to it after a while.

Summary: The first MS4000 mouse I bought I had for 2 days before having to take it back to replace it. I have now had the second one for almost 4 months and it is now dead with the same usb device error as other people have commented on at numerous sites. The nano receiver in my opinion needs to be built better than it is. If it weren't for this it would be a great mouse. I guess I will just go back to my 3yr old Logitech wireless mouse until it dies.

by 43sundown on March 29, 2011
Pros: Easy to set up.
Cons: First one worked about three weeks and then when switch activated blue light would just flicker on and then go off. Replacement (from Target) worked about five minutes and then it quit working. I called Microsoft, got passed around multiple times, finally

Summary: Bought this mouse to use with my laptop(Macbook Pro) for games. Worked real great for games in Windows and OS X. I like how the mouse has four programable buttons to perform whatever action you wish. The only problem, which isn't a major thing, the battery-status LED is a tad inaccurate. The LED on mine is currently blinking red, and is working fine. When previously, the battery was low, thus making the mouse performance erratic.
Overall, real nice mouse. I think I'll buy a second mouse for my netbook.

by afah_forum on July 23, 2010
Pros: Nice Design, Compact, Small Dongle, Hidden Compartment for dongle, single battery
