Pros: Works great. Next generation. Pays for itself.
Cons: None. Maybe it was too easy. I like a challenge every now and then.

Summary: This modem was a great price at my local Costco ($75). Called Comcast, waited on hold, gave them my MAC address and my speed jumped threefold. At $7/month for a rental (that was getting outdated), this modem will pay for itself in no time. The unit is very small and unobtrusive. Buy this one with confidence.
Pros: No hassle set-up Small vented case, nice appearance Easy to see status lights (not too bright)
Cons: I have not had any issues with this unit.

Summary: I replaced a failed SBG6580 with this unit. The SB6121 worked out of the box. The Customer S/N & HF MAC ID were available on the box & label and that was all that was needed by the ISP to register it on the network (Cox).
Very easy, very fast. No complaints. My connection is up to 25 Mbps; this unit is rated up to 160 Mbps (down) and I am currently seeing 28 Mbps down; very happy with it.
Pros: I'm not very technically oriented. I saw a significant speed increase over my 6 year old Linksys modem/router.
Cons: I could not make it work with Apple's Airport Express. Even after finding many posts detailing the "fix" I still could not do it. But I bought a Netgear router to go with it and the system is purring now.

Summary: I bought a new Macbook pro (9/2012). When I did my Internet access slowed noticeably. I figured the newer technology in the Macbook must not like the older technology in my modem. The new modem arrived -- I called Comcast and in about 10 minutes they had it set up. I plugged in my Airport Express (previously purchased) and could not make it work. Lots of blogs online about this. I struggled for about 3 hours. Finally gave up, went to Best Buy, bought a Netgear router, and in 10 minutes my Internet access was faster than ever. I use citrix at home for work. With my prior modem I would get "punted" every 10 minutes or so. Turns out it was my modem. Now citrix works great. I am writing this review because I am impressed with the modem and the netgear router. I spent about $150 combined. Definitely worth it.
Pros: Great speed, Easy setup, Cost savings over leasing, 2 year warranty, Works great with Comcast's Xfinity
Cons: none so far

Summary: I have had this modem for just under two years and it has always worked great. The only time I had an issue was after a lightning storm that produced some sort of power surge on my network. It wiped out or damaged four devices including my modem. Motorola shipped a replacement right away. In the meantime I rented a modem from Comcast so I was only without service for a short time. I bought the modem brand new for about $90 and it came with a two year warranty. At the time, Comcast was charging about $7/month to lease a modem. Which comes out to about $168 over the two year warranty period I have with the device. So, if my modem decides to fail next month when my warranty expires (I don't expect it to) I am still ahead by over $70.
Cons: but suddenlinks is saying that they both are bad modems!will take forever to boot up after resetting! will lose speed ever tec form suddenlimk says the modem
Summary: when dealing with suddenlink just rent there modem
