The good: Fairly simple installation and setup; supports dial-up and broadband access; several compatible titles already available.
The bad: Separate online account setup for each game; no integrated Xbox-like universal voice support.
The bottom line: Sony's network adaptor opens the PS2 to online competition, but it's a bit less polished than the Xbox's online solution.

No Monthly Fee!!!
Pros: This is so awesome, although it doens't support live voice chat, it is a once time buy, requiring no monthly fees, unlike X-BOX Live.
Cons: No Voice Chat, and sepparate accounts for each game. Becomes a pain once you own three+ games that support online play.

Best Thing to happen to the gaming comunity!
Pros: The NA opens up opportunities that we had never even dreamed of befor. You can talk and chat with friends across the world for free! You can play with them for free. As for the point about the type of games.. you guys have failed to mention both of the SO
Cons: The only thing that could be bad about the NA is that it could fry your expansion bay. Be sure that every time you turn off your ps2 while in an online game, unplugg the ethernet cord, then plug it back in when its off. This has happened to many of my fri

Gaming just went global...
Pros: That sleek little slab of plastic and wires that goes into the infamous expansion bay opens a new world of gaming. Unlike Xbox Live, ps2 doesn't insult you with monthly/yearly fees. (However, some of the game companies do... screw them!!) If your like me,

Summary: The NA is a great system. Even if you got dial up. I have dial up and it lags but i dont even notice it because i am having so much fun playing Tony Hawk and other great games. Even though the game selection isn't great right now it will be. With games like resident evil online and syphon filter 3 it is going to be a blast. I definately reccomend this to anyone with a PS2.

Summary: I just got mine, paid $40 for it, and hooked it up last night and played madden online. I only have dial-up but it worked GREAT, and it was so cool to challenge other players all over to a head to head game. I'm now looking into what other games support dial-up online play, since i can't afford broadband just yet. once you have played online, you'll be hooked!!!! there aren't very many games out there right now that support online play, but I'm sure in the next year almost all games will have online playability. Don't miss out!!!!
