Summary: I bought this mobo to put in my first custom build. I was amazed by the amount of features and how stable it is. It comes with around 4 USB ports and expansion ports inside to support up to 4 more! It comes with one Firewire (IEEE 1394) and an expansion to add one more! The Gigabit ethernet is a nice touch when I use my computer as a gaming server. I love the RAID (although good luck running Linux on it), and things like automatic overclocking and automatic fan control make this a must buy.
My only problem with this one is that once I ran a tool from Intel to test my processor's clock speed to find out that my it was being slightly overclocked (a couple hundred MHz). I reset the BIOS and everything worked fine.

Pros: Price, stability, reliability
Cons: haven´t found any yet

Summary: It´s been almost a year when I decided to purchase this mainboard but still I am dazzled about the speed and perfomance it produces. Equipped with P4 2,8GHz HT and 1024 Mb of RAM it runs many applications at the same time without a single sign of slowing down although memory peak may be at 500-600 Mbytes already.
This is one hell of a equipment.
Two thumbs up - fast and stable
Pros: -all the built in features like USB 2.0, SATA / RAID, Ethernet, Audio, dual channel memmory access -also nice is the lack of built in video support - added cost that relatively few people use IMO. -excellent manual and instructions -little extras like cab
Cons: Haven't found any so far.
Pros: Was incredibly easy to install. Worked first time and delivers great performance. Also very durable surviving an accidental short circuit.
Cons: When you buy this motherboard you should really get two serial ATA hard drives to maximise its potential.
A mobo without problems in Windows!
Pros: I accidentaly destroyed the CPU fan base and it still works!!! So many USBs!!! SATA,RAID and IDE works perfect together! PCI ports are perfect placed. Manual is superb. With iP4/2,8 HT i have 41C on cpu and 31C on mobo. (Hmmm, i should buy another 256
Cons: Sometimes it stops after BIOS test. Says that i overclocked the CPU (i don't!) and i have to reset the BIOS. I press the reset button and everything is back in normal. I think this happens when you add new hardware.
Pros: ASUS in my opinion are the most stable motherboards i have used. they are really compatable. this board allows you to have an extra two devices ie hdds. (which is always handy) :) The board comes with many expansion ports such as 1349 adapters and many US
Top of the line ASUS w/ 3.4
Pros: Runs everything w/o any problems very fast and then some! Bus can be tweaked to run overclocked a little or alot in small percentages. Beats the new South Intel Motherboards in form and function. Asus has many more high performance features and a great
Cons: You'll need to pull out your AGP X800 to change your memory...no big deal.
Features, Features, and more Features!
Pros: Won't break your bank account, but may break a few benchmarks! Fast, Cool and Stable. Asus quality!
Cons: Just make sure you use quality memory, this board deserves it!
NICE AND POWERFUL BOARD BUT NOT PERFECT
by ChipAnonimo on June 2, 2005
Pros: Many good options to set a quite amount of hd sata and ata. Supports ht Prescott p4. not problems on overclockin. Better than other boards with 865 chipset such as intels. Affordable and easy to insta
Cons: must have update bios in order to use a prescott processor but not a problem
Summary: This is an nice and stable board. Has many good options for all users. Good performance in any situation. If you are looking for somethign that really works this is ...
Summary: This is an nice and stable board. Has many good options for all users. Good performance in any situation. If you are looking for somethign that really works this is it!!!!. Nevertheless I think none board is perfect so I just gave it a 9. Good try for Asus.Must have at least a 1024 RAM to know what I am really talking about.
