  Summary: I dont think that this is an mp3 player is woth paying for. You can get other mp3 players right around or cheaper than the price of an iPod mini. Whith the same features so there really is nothing special about this iPod. I found that the Dell Pocket DJ is a much better mp3! And Ive heard the Rio Carben is better than the iPod mini! Not impressed with this mp3 at all!!!

  Summary: I have owned numerous mp3 players of every type ( flash, harddrive, microdrive) and this one is superior. The display is rather large for something of its size, but the quality of the device is unmatched. I really don't care for itunes, but once you use the device you forget all that. I can never go back to conventional buttons on an mp3 player. The work use is absolutely awesome, I can read my books and listen to my music all in the same device without much difficulty. I do wish that this player could use the mic recording attachment for all my classes, but I take my laptop to most classes. This is a great travel companion and a great device as long as one doesn't try to think too much about it being an apple product.

  Great small-sized iPod

  Summary: The iPod mini (1st gen) is a great little player. It is the perfect size and is more rugged, unlike the larger iPod which scratches easily and can not be handled as tough. The aluminum body can also hold up to a lot more. It is great for students and younger people because it can stand a little more handling. I also liked the low price and 5 colors you can could choose from, although the larger 20 gig was $50 more at the time of the first gen. mini.
  
  In all, the iPod mini (1st gen) is great and is perfect for on-the-go people!

  Cons: -sucky battery life -u have to send away ur ipod every year to get ur battery replaced which costs 115$ -costs to much for this amount of space (the creative jukebox zen xtra 30GB is only 220$) -cant play wma files

  Pros: The mini is kind of small, that's great if that's what you are into. And there are scores of accessories to buy all adding to the image. But that is all it is.

  Customer service really bad

  Pros: this product sucks. recharge battery too long. usage of this battery life too short.warranty very poor.

  Cons: you use 4-5 hrs to charge battery.If you listen to it, the battery life only upto 6 hrs maybe less. I had this ipod only a month ago never drop it on anything the display mass up I try to call apple support center for repair.and they told me they dont rep
