The good: The iPod Nano costs less than before, is easier to navigate, and includes more Nike Plus fitness tracking capabilities. It's also still the best clip-on music player money can buy.
The bad: Many features have disappeared over the years, including video playback, camcorder, microphone, speaker, games, calendar, contacts, notes, and alarm clock. The touch-screen interface is overkill, requiring more attention than the time-tested click wheel design without delivering many practical benefits.
The bottom line: The sixth generation of the iPod Nano is the smallest yet, but it comes at the expense of valuable features and practical controls.

Summary: When I watched the announcement of the 6th generation of iPod nano in 2010, I was like, " Who the heck will want to buy it?" But, like many other Apple products, it actually turns out to be an "insanely great" product.
Its tiny size already makes it an ultra-portable music player but it has battery life that matches that of other MP3 years of bigger sizes. This iPod is a perfect for me as I often listen to music while walking and commuting. You clip it on to your pocket and you won't feel its weight at all. You can adjust to volume really simply by using the physical volume buttons. Since they are physical, whatever song if you are listening to, you can adjust the volume instantly. And you can pause OR go on to next track(changeable in settings) by double-clicking the sleep/wake button, which is super useful as well.
Some people criticize Nano for its small screen. But come on, if you have been using a 55 inch televsion, your 24 inch computer screen will of course appear small to you. iPod Nano's screen, in my opinion, is the the smallest a music player's screen can get with minimum compromises on controls and what can be viewed. Once you get used to it, which takes a very short time, the ease of use and intimacy you get are just much more than what one usually expects out of such a small screen.
Furthermore, the Radio app that is included in Nano is superior to any other radio app I've ever used. You can choose your favourite Radio channels and just play them like a list songs. You can pause it and rewind RADIO with this app, as Nano automatically records what you listen and the things after u pause. When you get out of the Radio app, boom, it is automatically deleted. This radio app is a killer app for those you listen to radio often.
Nonetheless, the sound quality of Nano is not very satisfying. It is due to the standard earphones that come standard with Nano. Well, the sound quality is not bad but not good as well. This is both a bit disappointing and understandable. Disappointing because such a dedicated music player's sound quality is not great. Understandable because they squeezed a multi-touch music player with accelerometer, radio antenna and a long-lasting battery in such a tiny casing. (Well, it isn't a problem for me as I sue a-Jays earphones, and they sound great with Nano)
But overall, it is a insanely great iPod ( even more insanely great if you have good earphones) and I would recommend it to anyone who listens to music on the road very often and is with their MP3 player everywhere they go. Don't worry so much about sound quality; it is OKAY. I am actually a beginner audiophile. By the way, great way to check your time as well as you can set the clock to appear everytime you wake your Nano, and the 12 clock faces included make the iPod an elegant watch. It is worth it, don't hesitate! ( although I know I sound like advertising the iPod Nano, i'm still gonna do this) -
Not worth buying!

Pros: Small, easy to use, good fitness app.
Cons: No games, no camera, too small, easy to lose.

Summary: I would not recommend this product to anyone. I was excited to get this product at first, but was disappointed to find that it was nothing more than a glorified iPod shuffle. Tell me, who exactly needs a touch screen on such a small device anyway? I thought that it was worth buying, at least for simply music, but with this, switching songs is a difficult process, especially when running or on the go. Bottom line, it is not even as good as my old iPod nano :).

Simple, easy, and fun! Best iPod Nano to date :D
by DarwinsGod on September 11, 2010
Pros: Its touch screen is fluid, and the software is snappy. The navigation and controls are intuitive and the aluminum square design, along with the built on clip on the back, make it perfect for onthego music. I recommend this to anyone.
Cons: I dont like that they took off coverflow and games. It is missing the video playback, but that honestly isnt that much of a problem, considering i want just a music player. I say if u arent satisified w/ the features it is missing, then get a touch.
Summary: Bottom line, If u are looking for an mp3 player that is attractive, fashionable, and can play music in a breeze with ease, then the new iPod Nano is for ...
Summary: Bottom line, If u are looking for an mp3 player that is attractive, fashionable, and can play music in a breeze with ease, then the new iPod Nano is for you. If u want an iPod that can play video, record video, and run apps and surf the web then i suggest u move up a model and get the iPod Touch. Either way, this new iPod Nano is a GREAT product and i woul recommend it to anyone ;)
