The good: The RCA Jet sounds good, is inexpensive, and offers an FM tuner and stopwatch. The player features a splash-proof design and includes sporty clip-on earphones, an armband, and a wristband.
The bad: The RCA Jet's color scheme may not appeal to everyone. Also, the control pad is stiff, the buttons are a bit unresponsive, and the menu structure is funky.
The bottom line: If you're looking for an inexpensive MP3 player for the gym, the RCA Jet--FM tuner, armband, stopwatch, and all--is a solid choice, but the interface will take some getting used to.

Summary: I got this product with low expectations . It is very cheap , but then I thought it shouldn't be. It has all the features I wanted for my sport.. (running) I read all the tech stuff and tested all the features and all seem to be workng fine..
I was even more surprise that the brand itself is a leader in the electronics indistry. I must say that I am a very satisfied customer. I told my friends about it, and they totally agree.
All the things I needed to know a re in the manual. I guess if you really une uderstood how it works, then it should be ok. I am very pleased that I can add at least 360 mp3 files in it, and even record music on the radio. This product is a must buy for those who wants to hear music while running cuz compared to the others, it is very lightweight -

Worst MP3 player I've ever owned
by kimberly.dawn.6.2.6 on December 25, 2009
Pros: It looks nifty, it's cheap, and I'm sure it'd be good if it actually worked!

Summary: I connected it and let it charge for three hours as stated in the directions. When I went to turn it on it didn't do anything, it just said Please Wait then said Profiling requires 4 MB of free space, then shut down. I connect it to any computer and it can't install drivers. I've reset twice only to have the exact same problem. I don't think it's asking to much to expect a product to work when you get it out of the box, is it?

Summary: i have never posted a review before but i wanted to provide this info. i bought this mp3 player for gym use before a long trip abroad. once turned on, i could not turn it off. when i pressed the plastic off button, the device would scan for stations. i took this back to walmart where i bought it, but they said if it had been more than 30 days (or maybe it was 2 weeks) i had to mail it back to the manufacturer and wait for them to try to fix it. since i was leaving for a long trip, i didn't have time to wait several weeks for it to be fixed. so i would charge it on my laptop before each trip to the gym, the battery would wear down after each use bc I couldn't shut it off, then i would have to recharge it. really annoying. also the armband clip broke almost immediately so i had to try to use the wristband while in the gym. when i left for my trip, i just left his behind. i have since switched to the shuffle and given up on radio players, since the quality of the ipod-type players is far superior to those that play radio stations.

Transferred playlists support is lacking
by Nick408 on July 6, 2009
Pros: Subscription music support is good.
Cons: I build playlists in my computer, and I can't transfer them to this device.
How did they come to the conclusion that a black-yellow color was appealing to people? How about a solid black, or solid white. Easy does it.Summary: I had to pass on this player. They overlook such basic features.

Good Deal for the price
by rsvpepper on May 19, 2009
Pros: 1 cost approx. $35
2 splash proof (I live in central FL and this little sucker has made it through several afternoon monsoons and still kicking, not to mention the sweat from wearing it on the armband)
3 decent sound quality,
4 headphones stay put.Cons: 1 Battery charges only through USB.
2 No download-able Play list only my selections and sort by artist, albumSummary: I bought it to see if it would survive the afternoon monsoons that are frequent here in the land of Mickey. I was not really concerned about the memory capacity, ...
Summary: I bought it to see if it would survive the afternoon monsoons that are frequent here in the land of Mickey. I was not really concerned about the memory capacity, uploads via USB 2.0 move quite quickly. So can change out songs in about 5 minutes.
If you just have to have 5000 hours of music on hand skip it.
If you want a durable, cost effective mp3 player, with a modest memory buy it. -
Piece of CRAP.

Summary: I downloaded music to it, which went really well. That was the easy part. Once I disconnected it, it would not turn on. I reset it, contacted RCA, formatted it, nothing worked. I threw the box away so Walmart would not take it back. My fault. I contacted RCA and they said contact the vendor. So I chose not to get involved in a run around process and ckaled this up to $40 lost. I looked at various sites on the internet, (blogs and other sites) others have the same problem as well as several other issues. I guess I should have spen the extra money and got an IPOD or somehting. You get what you pay for I guess. I would not recommend this to anyone for purchase. Also, keep your receipts and original boxes so you can take it back if it doesn't work!!!
