The good: The Samsung Galaxy Player 3.6 offers most of the capabilities of Samsung's popular Android smartphones, minus the phone and monthly fees.
The bad: Screen quality is subpar and the camera is lackluster.
The bottom line: The Galaxy Player 3.6 costs $50 less than the Apple iPod Touch, but it's easy to see where Samsung cut corners.

Cheap Android Device, Expensive Media Player

Pros: Cheap Android device (got one brand new for $140, including tax); costs less than an iPod nano
Phone-like speaker/mic configuration
FM Radio (analog, as far as I can tell)
Expandable micro SD storage (up to 32 GB)
Wolfson DAC
Cons: Not the best value as media player or as an Android device
The 320 x 480 LCD display has a strange optimum viewing angle
Touch response (input refresh rate) is just a little slow
The 2 MP camera isn't worth talking about
Difficult to root
