The good: The Samsung Galaxy Muse is small, relatively affordable, and designed to pull music from a handful of Samsung smartphones without a computer intervening.
The bad: The controls are impossible to use by feel alone, and are often infuriating in even the best circumstances. The unique cables and adapters are easy to lose.
The bottom line: The Samsung Galaxy Muse is quite possibly the most awkwardly designed MP3 player ever made.
Cons: Not a fault of the player, but doesn't work with my Droid 4. Sound alive is horrible, at least when you use good headphones.
Summary: I have to disagree with the reviewer about the interface. It is incredibly simple to use even in complete darkness. It's such a small player you can't miss ...
Summary: I have to disagree with the reviewer about the interface. It is incredibly simple to use even in complete darkness. It's such a small player you can't miss the "buttons". There is a smooth side (with the controls) and a clip side (no controls), easy to distinguish which side is which simply by touch. The headphones plug in at the top. You need to plug headphones into this to hear the music. Volume up is at the top of the oval (you can distinguish the volume up end of the player by feeling the headphone plug, remember to touch the smooth side, not the clip side), volume down is on the other end. To the right is forward, to the left is back. In the middle is play/pause. When the player goes into the automatic hold mode, forward, back, and pause are activated by a single long touch. Volume adjustments take a long touch then short touches to adjust.
You put the songs on the player, so "hope you like the song" does not make sense. Why put a song on the player if you don't like it? No, you can't call up a specific song, but it's not made for that. You press play and listen. It's like radio, only you pick the songs, there are no commercials, no DJs yammering on and on, and it doesn't go out of tune.
It's not meant to replace your main music player nor do all of the things it does and it is pointless to compare it to one.
