The good: The SanDisk Sansa Clip offers impressive sound quality; an ultracompact, gym-friendly design with a removable belt clip; and useful features such as an FM radio and Rhapsody DNA integration. The player also includes support for a wide variety of audio file types, including OGG and FLAC. All of this comes at an incredible value, since the player is very inexpensive and easy to use.
The bad: FM radio reception isn't great and connection of the Clip with Rhapsody was problematic.
The bottom line: The SanDisk Sansa Clip is an incredible value that's set to edge out the competition with a user-friendly interface, gym-worthy design, and great sound quality.

Wonderful! Lot's of bang for your buck!
by Stevensc1 on February 18, 2010
Pros: 1. Small!
2. Durable!
3. Usable features!
4. Versatile, can sync with several players.
5. Surprisingly good sound (even with the factory headphones).Cons: 1. Would like to change backlight color.
2. I take that back, there are no cons.
3. Okay, there is a con. FM radio could use some help.Summary: I love this player! So small, durable and efficient. I can work all it's controls one handed with my eyes closed. It has all the sound of the big ...
Summary: I love this player! So small, durable and efficient. I can work all it's controls one handed with my eyes closed. It has all the sound of the big boys (and more than some of the big boys, cough, cough, Ipod). I would replace the factory headphones but even these aren't bad, just not as good as they could be. It has an EQ with several presets but works best if you customize it. Now, if you're looking for a toy that takes little videos, shows pictures, has a few little games and a stop watch, then it's not the player for you. I understand Apple may have you covered, though. FM radio is sadly subpar. The voice recorder is actually quite nice. As an amateur paranormal investigator, I've used this feature for EVP recording and been surprised at the mic sensitivity. Remarkably durable: I've dropped, stepped on, washed and even slept on mine and it still works.
Summing it up? Perfect for your dollar. Some good, actually useful, features and better than average sound quality. And if you drop it, don't worry! Just don't make it a habit. -
feature packed, if a little tricky to navigate
by lordbarron on September 24, 2009
Pros: lots of memory on a small device, good price, great sound, radio, memo recorder, mass storage device, usb, good battery, the clip is very useful,
Cons: navigating backwards and forwards can be a little tricky, as is the playlist functionality.
Summary: I'm a music buff I love my tunes, but I don't feel the need for a bulky mp3 player. The Sansa Clip doesn't sacrifice quality and really ...

For me it did not work
by budz4u on July 17, 2009
Pros: small, great capacity, ez learning curve, great sound-really apparent when played in car via cassette adapter
Cons: fragile-clip spring broke though within 2 weeks of purchase. continually froze

Summary: I was excited to receive this little unit. Sound was good and I'd read better with upscale ear phones. Sound in car seemed to bear this out. But on the second day the clip started locking up. No response to play/pause, on/off and after a period of time it would again respond. I was concerned about the on/off switch. It just did not feel durable. It was stiff. Most of the time it would not move with simple pressure. I would have to hook a finger nail at the edge. Then finally, clipping it to my clothes day 8 or 9 the clip spring burst through. Disappointed, I really wanted this device to work for me

I love my little SanDisk clip. If all you want is music
by newtthree on May 28, 2009
Pros: The storage space, the shuffle, radio, quality of sound, but good headphones don't hurt either. The price. I didn't give recommended price, it was less.
Cons: On audio books, I wished it would save the last book I was on without looking for it. It will play from last position if you go look for the audio book. I have over 60 audio books,
Summary: The storage space is awesome, have all my audio books on it and about 30 music cd's.

great product. I have owned ipod, iaudio u2, sansa m240. the only one that is close is the iaudio u2. u2 wins only slightly due to equalizations and battery life. the ui and software of the u2 not as good. sound quality is very close. would like to be able to add memory. liked the replaceable battery in my 240 (used rechargeable batteries). love my new player. and it wins overall due to price. 69 at wal mart. cant beat it.
