The good: The SanDisk Sansa Clip+ is very inexpensive; it has a solid, pocket-friendly design with dedicated volume controls and a built-in belt-clip; it's easy to use; and it offers a plethora of handy features, including a MicroSD card slot, Rhapsody DNA, a voice recorder, an FM tuner, and support for FLAC, Ogg, Audible, and podcasts.
The bad: The SanDisk Sansa Clip+ could stand to have better battery life and support for AAC; the monochrome display is small and may be hard for some to read.
The bottom line: The SanDisk Sansa Clip+ is an excellent successor to the line, offering a fitness-friendly design with a built-in belt-clip, a simple interface, solid sound quality, and plenty of handy features--all for an ultralow price. It's an unbeatable value.

Ipod Killer for Me.
by reformerz on March 1, 2010
Pros: Supports many file types; infinitely expandable memory w. microSD cards, durable. FM radio, built-in recording, small size, no hard drive. Battery life on high volume, just fine.
Preset & Programmable EQ.Cons: It may be my misunerstanding, but when I put it on 'shuffle'
it mixes my microSD nusic with music loaded on the mother
chip. I think it's my fault. I need to specify certain
folders, I'm sure. Easy to misplace, it's so small.Summary: It's small, light, intuitive and has every function and more

that I would expect from an mp3 player. I love it. The boys
at work had me order three for them as well. We all love
the Sansa Clip+. I lost mine for a week. It was outside on
the lawn when I found it, sloppy wet from 2 downpours. It still worked. I thought surely the water would have got in
and destroyed it, at least through the SD slot, but still
works fine 3 weeks later, without loss of data.2 out of 2 users found this user opinion helpful.

perfect for a simple mp3 player
by chrisk2002 on October 20, 2009
Pros: very easy to use if you're just looking for music, podcasts, fm; very easy to click and drag files from your computer's harddrive to the player; very easy to scroll through
Cons: none that I can see

Summary: I was in the market for an MP3 player, my old 1GB finally broke on me. For less than $70, you get an 8GB player, and for another $40, you can buy a 16GB SD card, so in total you get a 24GB MP3 player for @ $110. I use this at the gym, on the train, on planes, etc. Very easy to click and drag music files from your computer, and then to listen to. It doesn't do pictures, movies, games, no wifi, etc. Just pretty much a straight player. If you're not into all the bells and whistles, and don't want to spend a whole lot of money to get a great little player, this is the one for you. Also, the CNET video doesn't do it justice in terms of the size, you can't really appreciate how small this player is till you're holding it.

Great for audiobooks and when you are mobile.
by cas12cnet on April 28, 2012
Pros: With the SD card, it has 16 GB or more storage which is important if you have many audio books. It automatically returns to where I was in the audiobook when I turned it off. Small & with clip so can wear it when shopping, cleaning, exercising, etc.
Cons: It began to malfunction after 1 year of frequent use. The small size is convenient except that it makes it very easy to misplace. I wish the 8 G came in red. The screen is small so it makes it more cumbersome to go through the menu
Summary: I really like this Clip+ since it is so good for audio books and the small size is so convenient. I use it more frequently because of these factors. For ...
Summary: I really like this Clip+ since it is so good for audio books and the small size is so convenient. I use it more frequently because of these factors. For the low purchase cost, I think having to replace it after a year is not bad. I understand San Disk has a 1 year warrantly, but mine lasted for a few weeks beyond 1 year.

Great, especially Rockboxed!
by trkwkr179 on August 26, 2011
Pros: Small size, light weight, clips to clothing when exercising or napping, works well with full sized headphones., the original firmware is good for those wanting simplicity.
Cons: Battery life is "meh", the EQ could be better (the volume drop when used is annoying), the original firmware is merely OK - for the average user(use ROCKBOX PPL).
Summary: Well worth the low price, especially with the great SQ this little giant produces. I threw Rockbox on it and there's no going back.

'a shortlived pleasure'
by FrankHLND on March 31, 2011
Pros: Love the size, the clip, usage when doing sports ..... and very happy the first months of usage.
Cons: however 6 months down the road my intitial passion and love is almost gone. Music gets stuck (only switch on and switch off helps to return to music), battery life pretty short (and display signage poor- seems that it's still fullm however within 15 minut
Summary: Still some work to do for Sandisk to convince me to buy one of their Mp3 players a 2nd time .... . Frank

by jeffjochim on August 23, 2010

Cons: i would like the mic to be of a little higher quality but its still better than most; transfer rate isnt the best

Great little MP3 player!
by efil4flogi on March 22, 2010
Pros: Extremely small size, pristine sound quality, great built quality, simple to use, great screen visibility even in direct sunlight.
Cons: the clip is mostly unnecessary and just in the way.

Summary: I've had this mp3 player for about three months now and it is perfect as far as music players go. It may not be able to play complex racing games or handle 3d graphics but the main focus of this player is music. And it performs excellently in that area. The sound quality is the second best I've heard from my Monster Turbines next to the sound coming from my Elite series Pioneer reference CD player. It a shockingly large soundscape and the lowest noise of any player i've heard of. Basically, if you want a music player that plays music better thatn anything else, this is what you need.
Note: i was given a new Sansa Clip Plus for my birthday last week by my Aunt brother who didn't know I already had one so I'm hosting a giveaway for my old one which is still in great shape. If you're interested go to this link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJmUJuZp3H8 -
Wonderful mp3 player!
by joyseeker18 on January 10, 2010
Pros: It's tiny but extremely powerful! East to use controls. Bright screen. Shuffle songs feature. Can load music from Napster/Rhapsody or Windows Explorer. Removable disk slot for "radio" music lists. Everything I would ask for in an MP3 player!
Cons: It might get lost being so small! :)
Summary: Love it! Updated from an old SanDisk m250, and the Clip has every feature in a small size and more so. I plug it into my new Yaris' stereo system ...
