The good: Design and interface are basic, intuitive, and attractive; small but bright OLED display; voice and FM recording (no FM tuner in the 612 version).
The bad: Straight-up folder tree navigation; does not support music from online music stores/services; mediocre battery life and transfer speeds.
The bottom line: The Transcend T.sonic 600 series is an easy-to-use, compact, and affordable player with decent extras such as voice recording and an FM tuner, but its lack of support for protected WMAs and its lackluster overall performance drag it down.

The most amazing player for its price.

Pros: Folder Support, Plug-n-Play, Drag-n-Drop, No software required, No hardware problems, Good Interface, Amazing Sound Quality.
Cons: Not very well known in the market, so no accessories available.

I got at Rs. 2500/- in Mumbai and in Bengaluru.
It supports folder, I just plug it in to a USB port, and copy files to it, sound quality is amazing. Battery life is approximately 12 hours minimum on a full charge which takes just two-and-a-half hours.
The interface is easy to use, much better than the iPod's interface, and the Sound Quality from the included headset is as good as a Bose headset.
The display is good, crisp and very informative.
Overall, it is an amazing device.
It looks good, functions even better, and is light on both-your pocket, and your wallet.

Summary: This thing is great! Sounds really crisp and has options of EQ. There's the user preset EQ that i prefer. Built-in rechargeable battery. Been testing it for the whole day and so far no cons. Controls are easy to navigate. Great drag and drop option when transferring songs. Screen is not like ipod but acceptable. Unit is small and looks expensive. FM radio w/ 20 presets and w/ recording option as well. Nice price for 2gb considering its 50% cheaper compare to a 2gb ipod.
