The good: Excellent output quality; fast output speeds; office-friendly features including auto document feeder, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet networking.
The bad: Lacks PictBridge/memory card reader; mediocre photo print quality.
The bottom line: The Epson WorkForce 520 isn't ideal for photo printing or graphics-heavy documents, but this all-in-one device delivers office-capable features like an auto document feeder and multiple connection options at an effective price. For light-duty office work, the Epson WorkForce 520 is a solid choice.

NEED ALL CARTRIDGES FULL TO PRINT BLACK AND WHITE!

Pros: Fast, decent quality, doesn't jam paper, can do manual duplex printing
Cons: All cartridges need to be full to print in black and white even if you select grayscale. Its a waste of color ink and drives the ink cost up!

Summary: I bought this printer (520 epson) about 2 months ago and I encountered a serious problem. If you are planning on printing in just black and white, beware, you will still need to buy color ink if it runs out!!! It still uses some color ink even if you print in black and white and if you run out of color ink, it won't let you print in black and white even if you print in grayscale!! I called epson and they said that you still need all the cartridges full even if you are printing in gray scale. Its a scam to make money. Also, you can't refill the cartridges because of their new technology so the price of ink is way up there compared to other printers!

Pros: Reasonable price for all-in-one printer with WiFi.
Cons: This printer seems to use ink like it has a hole in the cartridge. I am constantly replacing the cartridges. I have had the printer 2 months and have replaced every cartridge at least once (already replaced black 3 times). I print an average of 2-5 bla

Pros: All in one printer
Cons: Quality is not that good. Not only that, it eats through ink very quickly.

Great printer/scanner...INK HOG

Pros: Does everything well. Good color, good speed, good scan qualities.
Cons: Ink goes thru this thing like water. I even use the high capacity cartridges and they just don't last. Draft quality print is too light to use and no settings to enhance it.

The worst printer ever and I'm an Epson fan!

Pros: It prints when it's happy.
Cons: Won't feed multiple faxes into feeder, gets jammed. The stop/clear settings button doesn't work so if you make a mistake and want to cancel the operation you have to turn the printer off so it will reset. Runs out of ink quickly and then won't print, even

It said "workforce" and I believed it would suit all of my work needs since I am self-employed and don't have reams of faxes to send or documents to print. I was shocked to find myself dealing with a third rate machine that is more trouble than it's worth. Don't buy it!

Pros: Good print quality, but you can say the same of most printers these days... and good printing speed. All at a steep price though.

Summary: Listen up Epson, I know I have to buy the ink and really, I will. But if you don't mind I would like to do that on my own time and per my schedule. Programming the printer to print "monochrome" only when ink is available in all "color" cartridges puts us in the predicament where if the store happens to be closed when it runs out we simply don't have the option of printing black and white. How critical is this you ask? I was trying to print my black and white college application to sign it and mail it before the deadline. Now thanks to this little feature the class may be filled before my application is completely processed. College students please take note and beware! I'll say it again... A printer is only as good as its prints. Keyword "Prints".

Connecting my wireless router and setting up wireless printing throughout my household took less that 10 min. Although I havent used the product in the long run, I am pleased to be using this printer for my everyday needs.
