The good: The HP LaserJet Pro's M1217nfw's driverless setup, auto document feeder, and range of connectivity options would make it a valuable addition to a small office.
The bad: The printer lacks automatic duplex printing, which may dissuade businesses with high print volume needs.
The bottom line: The LaserJet Pro M1217nfw is HP's workhorse printer designed for small businesses that output a high volume of monochrome prints. It's not the most environmentally friendly machine, but its Smart Install feature and excellent performance earn our recommendation.

Works well, one big problem

Pros: Fast, mostly does what it is supposed to do
Cons: Will only print at 300 dpi from document feeder, can't change to lower number which would vastly reduce size of saved files. Can change DPI only from flatbed scanner.
Can't contact HP for feedback on this major problem.

Great all-in-one device; no disadvantages experienced

Pros: Does absolutely what it is supposed to do, quick printing, quick installation under Windows 7.
Cons: First toner has smaller size than replacement ones you can buy --> you have to buy a new one quiet soon.

The initial setup is quick and easy and the functionality to quick install drivers via Windows once the printer is in the wireless network is great. Printing and scanning is fast, as expected. It has proven its quality for everyday office use.

Lack of connectivity.

Pros: Never got that far.
Cons: I've spent the last four hours trying to get this printer to connect to my wireless network. A HP technician has been remotely accessing my laptop connected to this printer for the past 90 minutes without success.

Pros: Nothing about this product is good
Cons: way overpriced for what it it supposed to do...Good luck getting it to fax. Tech support?? horrible, unless you speak well with people from India
