The good: Fast wireless 5GHz throughput; storage included; easy to use; true dual-band; guest networking; printer and network storage support; works with Apple Time Machine software; good-looking design.
The bad: Expensive; limited networking and network storage features; no bundled backup software for Windows; hard drive is not user-serviceable; no media or iTunes server; picky support for USB printers; only three Ethernet ports; no Web interface; no remote access for Windows users; setup, administration, and storage sharing require OS X 10.4 or later; runs hot.
The bottom line: Apple Time Capsule is a convenient and simple wireless router and NAS server combo for your home. Unfortunately, especially in the case of the 1TB version, you can find better deals on devices that offer greater storage space and many more features for the price.

I use the 2TB Time Capsule and am overall happy.

Pros: 1. Use as network storage and time machine backup (if you create a partition using disk utility)
2. Fast enough for wireless movie streaming to your computer.
3. Create home network, or connect to wireless network.
4. 2TB of storage
Cons: 1. Only as fast as your wireless network you join if you don't use it to create your own wireless network.
2. It takes a long time to partition and setup and figure out the configuration that will make it work as both a network drive and backup drive

Summary: My 2TB drive hasn't run as hot as my iomega, LaCie or Toshiba external hard drive. Just in case I bought a $10 laptop cooling pad with usb fan to cool the drive since a lot of people report the power supply death due to overheat of this unit after a year or more.
This is the most amazing product and there aren't any alternatives out there that have 2 channel wireless n class signal router and 2TB of storage. The product is underrated. If you really only use it to backup data this is a piece of cake. I am using it for network storage and backup, which makes it a little more cumbersome to use.
However, there is a USB port attached to the TimeCapsule you can use for network storage and buy a Western Digital USB 2TB drive and just sandwich them together (2TB of backup and 2TB of network) if you really want it the easy way and can afford it.
If you have ever created home networks or installed a wireless router you know that it isn't just that easy as plug and work. You always have to create a secure wireless data transmission first, then mount network drives etc. Wireless storage provides convenience only if you are willing to spend a couple days to figure out how to make it work best for you.
