The good: The LaCie 5big NAS Pro offers superfast performance and has an excellent drive-bay design. The NAS server is also easy to use and can scale up its storage space dynamically.
The bad: The server's features are limited in both breadth and depth, and newly created share folders require restarting the server to be available to the network.
The bottom line: Despite the lack of features, the LaCie 5big NAS Pro is an excellent buy, thanks to its superfast performance, ease of use, and massive capacity.
