  Summary: Having considered different cloud storage solutions, I've decided to try out the Cloud Box. I have to say that I'm impressed. This is a unique solution for local and online data storage! It isn't just a NAS drive, but a full-featured cloud backup. It's fast and easy to use. 128-bit encryption and password protection ensure additional data security. The data is encrypted before it's uploaded to the cloud. The device is very easy to use. You have to install a backup program on your computer, run the initial installation wizard, and you're done. You can literally forget about CloudBox, it'll do all the work for you. I'm really pleased with this device!

  Summary: I've been looking for a storage solution for a small, but very valuable data archive. The CloudBox turned out to be just what I needed. My data is accessible locally and on the cloud, while being protected by 128-bit encryption and a password. By the way, the data is encrypted before it's uploaded to the Cloud. Regarding the price, I think it's very reasonable compared to other cloud solutions I'm aware of and considering the quality of service provided and the storage space you get on the Cloud with the CloudBox.

  Summary: I've had my CloudBox for about a month now and it's working well. I use it for work files backup. I love the ease of use and the security it offers. CloudBox stores data locally and on the cloud, everything is encrypted and literally once the device is set up I don't have to do anything to make sure the backup copy is up-to-date. The files can be accessed from anywhere. The price for this level of protections (cloud service) is right too. Overall, I'm very happy with the product and highly recommend it.

  Summary: I've been looking for a safe backup solution for my work files. When I saw this product, I was immediately tempted to try it. I'm familiar with cloud storage and have been quite happy with the service I've been using to date. Well, Cloudbox is much better! It's a hybrid device that combines local network backup and online backup.
  Basically you do your backup once and it's automatically stored in two locations: on the physical drive right in front of my nose and on the cloud, which I can access from anywhere regardless of whether the physical drive is on or off. Really smart idea! What I've always found annoying with cloud storage is that it takes forever to upload data. With the Cloudbox I do not have to worry about the speed at all. The data is instantly backed up on the local hard drive. Once this is done the CloudBox does all the job and uploads the files to the cloud. I do not have to wait. I can take my notebook and go.
  The nice thing about online backup is that it's very secure. Before leaving the drive the data gets encrypted. Only the person who knows the password can decrypt the files. CloudBox is exactly what I needed for my most important work files that I cannot afford to loose. And overall it's still cheaper than the cloud storage service I was using before.

  Summary: Everybody has a bunch of docs and files that are of particular value. I'm no exception. I have an ongoing project that I've setup in RAID1 and then I do a full backup twice per month on two different drives that I disconnect from the server for security reasons. Frankly it's tiring. The size of the project is not huge, but the value is priceless to me. So when I've heard about LaCie CloudBox, I was ecstatic. Not the cheapest solution out there, but certainly one of the safest and easiest in my opinion. CloudBox doubles the backups stored and encrypted locally in the cloud and allows to go back to the old versions as the data is kept in separate versions. The storage capacity is perfect for my needs, and I was surprised with how easy it was to setup the device.
