  Does what it says it will do....but not what you need.

  Pros: It transfers all.....I mean 'all' ........your files.......................very efficiently.

  Cons: It transfers all your files, all your updates, all your bells and whistles...everything...things you don't need and did not even know you had. I needed 139 documents on my XP transfered to a Lenovo IdeaCentre B305, it transfered 8036 files.

  Summary: Belkin needs to give you more options on what you want to transfer, in a detailed pick and choose menu.

  left hand doesn't know what the right is doing...MS!!!!

  Pros: incourages laziness.

  Cons: does work.

  Summary: Never got XP to detect it. Ended up doing it over the network. Still didn't work.

  Pros: Couldn't be easier. Inserted the CD in the old PC, connect the USB cable when instructed, and watched for 90 minutes while the transfer took place.

  Cons: No cons that I have identified.

  Summary: When done, the new PC had the settings, documents and passwords from the old. Even the iTunes library was transferred to the MyMusic file. We haven't yet tried to ...

  Summary: When done, the new PC had the settings, documents and passwords from the old. Even the iTunes library was transferred to the MyMusic file. We haven't yet tried to import them into iTunes. Encrypted information from SplashID was apparently transferred encrypted, because as soon as I downloaded the app to the new PC and entered the password, the files appeared. Ditto with Quicken. Really, this was a great tool and well worth the price.

  Belkin Easy Transfer for Windows 7 fails to install

  Pros: The package included the install disk, the cable, and user instructions.

  Cons: The product want install. Twice, tech support offered the same playbook recommendations. I purchased the Belkin product because it worked perfectly for a prior XP to Vista transfer. Now I need to transfer files from Vista to Win7.
