Summary: While the dual screen configuration is more useful than I would have originally thought, the Iconia 6120 is not for everyone. Its especially not for people who do a lot of writing. While the virtual keyboard works well, it is not the same as a physical keyboard.
The machine is very fast and I have noticed few bugs. The machine booted up the first time just fine, with no issues and the keyboard appears after a few seconds. I also have not noticed any unusual warmth.
But that doesn't mean all's perfect. There's the unexcusably missing bluetooth and multimedia card/ExpressCard slots. Also, while they give you easy access to the inards, via an easy to remove bottom access panel, that reveals an empty PCI Express card slot, there are no antenna leads. The European version of this system includes broadband, but without antenna leads, the slot becomes useless for USA upgraders who might want to use a CDMA broadband card or even a bluetooth card. There are ways to add your own antenna via third party solutions, but these usually don't work well.
And, as others have mentioned, the poor battery life is compounded by the fact that the battery is inconvenient to replace. The bottom access panel must be removed to expose the battery release latches. Not difficult, but the extra step of removing the bottom access panel is unwelcome, especially in a cramped space like an airplane.
I am very pleased with the performance of this laptop. I am used to working on dual screen systems at home and at work and it is only natural that this capability be extended to my laptop. But the system is missing some basic features, like bluetooth and multimedia cards, that are common on even a low end laptop. Its puzzling why Acer removed these features, though it appears there was sufficient room in the case for them.
*** P.S. If you will buy this Acer Iconia 6120 I suggest you have compare price before you decide at: www.amazon.com/gp/*************?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%****%2Foffer-listing%2FB004P0WLEY%3Fie%3DUTF8%26ref_%3Ddp_olp_new%26condition%3Dnew%23&tag=***************&********=ur2&camp=1789&creative=390957

Pros: - Innovative dual touchscreens
- Good processor speed, RAM, and hard drive for average user
Cons: - processor speed and battery life low for high end user
- price high for unproven product without high end specs

Summary: I am imagining this product being used for education purposes. The whole top screen could be used for viewing multimedia information, such as encyclopedias, study Bibles, college textbooks on human anatomy and physiology, geography, astronomy, etc., leaving a giant touchscreen navagation system on the bottom that could be customized to the material. If the response time between the touch screen navigation and the screen changes were fast enough, some students would be able to blast through the educational material at high speed in a manner completely different than any linear teaching methods currently used. With training and practice, maybe lots of people could be more effectively educated. Just a theory.

Pros: Touch screen very good and love the keyboard. Spill proof and crum proof.
Cons: Battery life is terrible. Theres no CD/DVD player. Must be a windows program but can't stand this little box for spell check that follows you around when ever you type something. Have to find out how to get it disabled.

Summary: Have had it 3 days now and slowly finding my way around it. Its not a laptop to take any were and expect to spend much time on with out useing the charger. Will not be listing to music or watching a move on the airplane. If I had known the battery was a joke and no CD/DVD player I would have pick up something different.

Just a up date. I missed my 14 day return policy from the store I purchased it at. The $800.00 dollars I could have gotten a better Laptop. Yes the battery life is bad and the keyboard mouse not always responsive. I have a 1"X 1" spell check box that pops up every time you type Email and when doing a search. Its really irritating and does changes for you don't want. I have tried all I can to remove it. Many Emails to Acer Support has gone no were. Even a photo of the spell box has not helped remove the problem. The search to remove it goes on.

Found the spell checker box that followed me around. Still surprised Acer did not know what it was. Now its not any fun to use the laptop. Mouse wanders off never to be found and the touch screen stops working. Have not used for a month or so and will give it one more time to try get it working right. If not its going out the 5th floor window.

Pros: no buttons!!!
Cons: Processor could've been the latest, it might've removed the delay of the touch screens (typing, etc. etc.) & the weight of it, should be as light as possiable.
Summary: I like it although the few cons were picky, but it's the truth. Hopefully their next model will be more up-to-date & ready to ripp the compition away. But.... ...

Pros: Innovate design with two screen, i5 CPU, great quality display. Its a little bit bulky but I can survive, (6.x pounds). When you work with this computer you can feel the weight like a Macbook Pro 17", or like a Dell Inspiron 15". The top display have a ve

Summary: A revolutionary notebook that needs some little changes to be perfect. First I was disappointed with the lower graphics in the bottom screen. Two screens are great but need to have the same quality. The Intel i5 cpu is not the last one in the market, I think replacing the Intel i5 for the new Intel CPU Sandy Bridge can help the battery and the overheating.
The 2 hours battery need to be fix it, you can't travel with this computer in a airplane or use it in a Starbucks.
If you buy this computer its very important to re-install a fresh OS with out bloatware, that help you in the speed. Good for people that works with Photoshop or are Software Developers. Great for geeks, you can feel like a Star Trek movies. Intel HD graphics are good for videos this laptops is not for game. Overheating after 1 hour of use.
Its not compatible with Ubuntu Linux or Mint Linux, the computer scratch after the boot installation.
I recommend this product only for PC Technician or Graphic Artist. (GEEKS LIKE ME)
Its a good computer not perfect but good.

Bad:
Its a i5, I feel a little lag in the OS. The OS is full of bloatware I think that is the reason of the lag of the Windows 7. Sometimes its a very slowly running basics apps like installing or opening a Antivirus. I replace the Hard disk with a SSD and I change the memory to 8GB DDR 1333 that was good for the speed. No bluetooth, you can use and external mini usb bluetooth card, but is not a good think for the design.
The borders of the housing have cheap plastic. If you clean the computer with a microfiber cloth you can easily scratch the notebook. Have the same black glossy plastic like the first Acer netbooks, easy to scratch it.
The software controls using the virtual keyboard and the acer ring are very good, but needs to have upgrades. (Acer need to work more with facebook app sometimes are very basic and the pictures have distortion).
Battery charge 2 hours, if you see videos in youtube or Hulu (1.5 Hours Aprox). Two AC/DC adapters???

Summary: Acer has done it again, making a very innovative laptop. However, it cannot be for those inclined to gaming as the Iconia is for those "well paid" types of people. I could suggest some additions (if this review gets read by Acer) to make the laptop even more usable.
Iconia is not suited for gamers as the processor is not a quad-core, also the graphics are mainly for watching HD videos only. Touch keyboard cannot be useful as there seems to be a bit of lag when using it, so that means fast-paced gamers will definitely break the touchscreen.
My suggestions to make this laptop better:
1. Stylus pens (Like Wacoms for graphic artists)
2. Use of Nvida/ATI graphic processors for better viewing and graphic processing (again for graphic artists)
3. Bigger screen
Recommended for those deep pockets.
