Go ahead, tell me it's overpriced...
by bosco08 on March 5, 2011
Pros: But this computer is amazing. It's so solidly built it's unreal. Truly does feel like one piece of metal. Fast enough for all my basic computing needs. Small enough to take everywhere. Battery life is insane. What is not to love?
Cons: I'm struggling to come up with cons. Very few. I've had brief instances where I wish it was faster, but very few. Scroll more, but that's expected. Definitely expensive.
Summary: Bottom line is I love this thing. Size was my number 1 issue after carrying a 17" Macbook Pro around for the last few years. Couldn't stand it anymore. ...
Summary: Bottom line is I love this thing. Size was my number 1 issue after carrying a 17" Macbook Pro around for the last few years. Couldn't stand it anymore. For email, surfing, word processing, speadsheet, presentations, this computer is absolutely perfect. And gamers? Don't overlook this thing if you're a casual gamer. I play Starcraft II on this thing without a hiccup. World of Warcraft is a little different, but completely playable. I pvp alot on this machine with low settings and it runs like a champ.
Running Windows 7 on boot camp works incredibly well. All in all, this thing feels more like the iX processors and less like the dual cores. It really is that fast. Keyboard is amazing. I'm still getting used to the trackpad. My old Macbook Pro had the separate mouse button, the MBA doesn't.
I just don't see how you could not be happy with this computer. As someone who has owned a Powerbook 1400, iBook clamshell, Powerbook Titanium, Macbook, Macbook Pro; this is my favorite Apple laptop to date. Portability ftw! -

Summary: I love my new macbook air. I use it to give talks and speeches. Its very lightweight, doesn't get hot on the lap, and the screen is brilliant. Its so much faster then my imac, must be because of the solid state drive. I love apple os so much, nothing beats it. Highly recommended for those traveling and need to do work, won't disappoint.
Specifications
- Manufacturer: Apple
- Part number: MC506LL/A
- Description: The MacBook Air is proof. It's designed around all-flash storage for better responsiveness and reliability. It features a trackpad with full multi-touch support. And though it's incredibly thin and light, its large battery gives you portable power that lasts for hours. When MacBook Air first debuted, it was groundbreaking in many ways. Chief among them was the precision unibody enclosure. Now that same engineering process comes to the MacBook Air display. Just like the main enclosure, the display housing is crafted from a single piece of aluminum, with all the structural elements machined directly into it. Total unibody construction means a less complex design with fewer parts. That makes MacBook Air exceptionally thin and light, yet still durable enough to handle the rigors of everyday use.
