The good: The Asus VivoTab Smart ME400 is as inexpensive as Atom Windows 8 tablets get, and the add-on keyboard/touch-pad combo is excellent.
The bad: The keyboard doesn't actually attach, which can be a hassle, and the folding magnetic cover takes practice to set up properly.
The bottom line: In a sea of hard-to-distinguish Atom-powered Windows 8 tablets, the Asus VivoTab Smart ME400 stands out a bit thanks to clever accessories.
Pros: Runs full windows 8 and the full version of MS Office, including Outlook. Runs Adobe Acrobat Pro. Costs less than $450. Battery life of 9-12 hours in real world use.
Cons: Need to add a 32 or 64 gb micro sdhc card to have enough storage to be useable. Takes 4 hours to charge from 255 to full while tablet is on.

Summary: I bought this tablet in February 2013 to act as my secondary laptop when traveling and commuting to work. It is very light and small. I need it to run the full version of MS Office, especially Outlook. Adobe and some legal programs that are only Windows based, so only a full W8 tablet would suffice. After adding all my software, I had only 15 gb of space on the tablet ssd, so I bought a Sandisk 64 gb sdhc card and loaded all my data files on it (about 34 gb), which works great for data storage - doesn't slow it down. For $515, including the 64 gb card, it is a deal. I didn't buy the keyboard, because, like most people find, in tight airplane or commuter seats, it is just easier typing on the tablet screen. I find it is so capable and easy to use, that I now use it 3x more often than my Lenovo 14" W8 laptop, which has been my traveling companion for the past few months (I use a W8 desktop in the office and at home).
Pros: Full Windows 8 - all your favorite Windows applications. Thin and Lite. Atom copes surprisingly well with common business apps. Web Browsing is pretty slick. Good quality display. Competitive battery life. Price is nice.
Cons: Windows 8 Desktop is a bit cramped on this 10" screen. Windows 8 "Modern" apps are immature and a bit scarce. Micro USB - you need (not included) OTG adapter for many accessories.
Summary: Overall quite pleased. Also own Android and Apple tablets but with this I can do more...

Pros: ATOM - pretty nippy compared to netbooks I've used. This is what the Atom should have been. On comparing it with friends Surface RT's I'd say this is a better performer.
Hardware seems pretty good.
Cons: Accessories, Accessories, Accessories!!!! Lack of updates/Drivers from ASUS Case is a little creaky, but I'd say ok at the price point. Speakers are on the back exactly where you want to hold the device. A stand should help with this, if it arrives

Summary: I agree with everything the reviewer says in the review regarding the Vivo Tab Smart, it's a really nice little device, I've bought one and it's currently my favourite toy. But as the review states, it's the accessories that bring it all together.
That's where the problem's start, the accessories aren't available in the UK, not even from the ASUS store, hell I emailed them and they couldn't even tell me if they would be release this side of the Atlantic. For a device that relies on it's accessories to stand out this is a bit of a problem.
I wouldn't recommend anyone purchase this device until these are made available, I constantly bang into situations where a keyboard would be handy, or even a cover that fits properly, I think this is a pretty poor show from ASUS.
