The good: The HP Envy Sleekbook 6 has a great design for a great price, and includes Beats Audio and decent graphics.
The bad: You're trading down to AMD's A-series processors, which are not as fast or power efficient as comparable Intel parts. Unlike actual ultrabooks, this doesn't have a solid-state hard drive. Some of the construction still feels a bit budget.
The bottom line: The ultrabook-like HP Envy Sleekbook 6 is the sharpest-looking $599 laptop you're likely to find, although you'll pay a performance premium.
Pros: The finish on the bottom is a nice soft touch material. The red against black is a decent combination. That is all I can say for the pros of this laptop.
Cons: The First Three Inexcusable flaws are: 1.Low res. Screen has terrible viewing angles. 2.The keyboard is extremely squishy, like a layer of foam is under it. A press on the keys affects the ones around it. It is that mushy. 3.Track pad is very poor.

Summary: This is a 2 of 10 in my rating scale. I did return my unit. It seemed sluggish and has a very unfriendly feeling to it overall. I cannot express how disappointed I was with the soft keys that literally felt like a layer of foam under the whole keyboard. There was even a wave that plagued the keyboard from left to right. The track pad picked up any minor touch and would jump your cursor all over the page while typing. The low resolution for a 15 inch screen was very noticeable and the colors would change with a head movement of about six inches. The weight is on the heavy side of things on paper but real world feel made it as if it were a standard 15 inch laptop. I have owned almost every brand of laptop in the past year and these are my opinions. 1.5 stars
