  Surprised and Satisfied!

  Pros: -Powerful notebook
  -Runs many games at ultra max settings (Skyrim, Starcraft, Battlefield, Total War)
  -Wicked Keyboard
  -good integrated software, overclocking, turbo fan, Cinema mode.
  -Incredibly good internal speakers and subwoofer for a laptop

  Cons: Couldn't find much for this, but here are some I guess.
  
  -Large and really heavy
  -Computer can get hot
  -Fan can be pretty loud even on casual use

  Summary: Overall, very very very happy with this notebook. I primarily game with this and still yet to find any major problems with it. I know many people experienced problems with the steelseries keyboard about "responsiveness" issues, but I bought mine refurbished and I never experienced anything bad with the keyboard, I play SC2 all the time and never missed a hotkey.
  THe surprise I discovered with this computer is the keyboard might be spill proof, because I spilled bong water on it right before a SC2 match, quickly dried the water that was on the keyboard and decided to take the risk and just play the match and to my surprise the backlit LED stayed on and my keys all stilled worked through the whole match. From the looks of it quite a bit of water still seeped through my keys before I could get the paper towel, but my computer survived a nasty spilled with no damage I guess. It doesn't specify anywhere on the msi website if the steelseries keyboard is spill proof, So I'm not sure if i'm really lucky or it's actually spill proof. I was very surprised and relieved and definitely a +10 for this computer's durability.
  Other than that I've been able to run all my games on max settings, and the speakers are the best speakers I've ever heard from a laptop. Truly awesome gaming experience to have these speakers (subwoofer is awesome).
  Strongly recommend you pick this beasty notebook, well done MSI on this one.

  Really nice gaming/desktop replacement.

  Pros: Handles any game I've thrown at it at max settings.
  Customizable lighted keyboard.
  Really nice sound from the speakers. (In game or playing music)

  Cons: Keyboard takes getting used to. Sometimes you will be typing and hit a key, but it won't register. Have to be deliberate in typing.
  Trackpad feels cheap. For an expensive computer I did expect a bit more from the trackpad.
  Battery life.
  Heavy.

  Summary: I bought this to be my personal gaming computer which it excells at! Between the quad core i7 chip and the beefy 3 gig video card I haven't found a game I can't run at the max settings. It has a dedicated button that will run the fan up to high speed while your gaming. And the fan is loud but not to the point of distraction. It is very heavy at just under 10 lbs. and the battery life isn't great. So you won't be dragging this beast all over. My other computer is a Macbook and by comparison the trackpad on the MSI feels cheap. It's not a deal breaker, but it is small and made from palstic. It does have HDMI out, USB 3 and USB 2, an SD card reader, and an optical drive. There was a blu ray option, but I just got the standard CD/DVD drive.
  I would have to recommend this computer as a great gaming laptop/desktop replacement. It is really heavy though and the battery life is really short (<2hrs.). But, if solid gaming is what you are after... you can't beat this computer.
