The first Rugged Laptop with the i3 and i5 Intel Chip.

Pros: The most valuable piece of hand held technology available. There's nothing this laptop cannot do, making it amazing. It works under water, under ground, in a firefight or in a coffee shop. The first history a DVD burned in the Antarctic on a CF-31.
Cons: The most expensive laptop produced. May work in water but will sink at 7 lbs 9 ounces. A dangerous device if dropped on your toe. Will not fit nicely into the overhead compartment on a commercial flight if in your Backpack on its way to Borneo.
Summary: The more logical way to proceed is with a CF-30 Refurbished Laptop. Unless money is not a concern, Black Hawk produced a CF-30 offering everything a researcher or a soldier ...

Summary: The more logical way to proceed is with a CF-30 Refurbished Laptop. Unless money is not a concern, Black Hawk produced a CF-30 offering everything a researcher or a soldier needs in the field for under $1000.00. The CF-31 is 4 times the price and upgrades with extended warranties makes the machine closer to $5000.00 The Used Toughbook will far outlast any new non Panasonic or Fully Rugged Laptop. The Battery of all Refurbished Laptops like a Black Hawk will last a minimum of 4 hours, far surpassing even some new batteries playing DVD's while reading mail. Four MB+ ram is more than most newer laptops, and finally, these are the only laptops with TRUE RESALE VALUE. Yes the CF-31 is the Mother Load of all laptops, It just requires more digging and rigging to find the money to justify it.
