  Very happy. I got exactly what I was looking for.

  Pros: Runs full Windows 8.
  Long battery life, 8+ hours.
  Perfect size (my opinion).
  Front mounted speakers give great sound.
  Form factor, Tablet and ultra book in one convenient package.

  Cons: Buggy out of the box, run the sw update and uninstall Norton and then you have a good machine.
  I am not a fan of the plastic port covers, I have trouble getting them open.
  Lack of availability. I had trouble finding one.

  Summary: I have had my Ativ Smart PC for two weeks now. I had been needing a new notebook and I like the idea of the convertible. Why have a tablet and a notebook when you can have both on one device?
  
  I really love my Smart PC. It instantly became my only computing device, it meets all my needs. The new generation Atom processor is plenty fast for 98% of task. I don't do heavy Photoshop or complex video editing; for that get the pro. You have a choice, horse power or gas mileage. I prefer gas mileage. The Atom has enough horsepower for most users and equals or outperforms ARM processors in battery life. The other great thing is it runs absolutely cool.
  
  The size is perfect. The screen is big enough for serious work and you get a comfortable full size keyboard, yet the entire package is small and light enough to be very portable.
  
  All these tech writers like to complain about the price being to high. I don't get it. Their beloved fruit company tablet with 64gb and a Bluetooth keyboard is MORE EXPENSIVE and you get no USB, no HDMI, no microsd, no real PC functionality. For me the logic was clear, for less than the price of an ultrabook you get an ultrabook and a tablet. In my opinion that is a great deal.
  
  Another great feature is the Wacom digitizer and pen. This is my first experience using a device with this and I am still getting used to it but already I see how it adds a whole new realm of functionality and possibilities. Another plus are the cameras. I was very surprised what good quality video and stills they take.
  
  My keyboard dock sits on my desk where it is plugged into my portable HD and this is where I do most of my real work. When I want to sit back and read the news and relax I pop the screen off and sit back on the couch with my tablet. Going out I slide the tablet portion into a sleeve I bought, slide that into my backpack and off I go. Back home pop the tablet into the dock and ready to use as a notebook.
  
  I think it is great that there are so many different choices and form factors that everyone can find what fits their needs and lifestyle. I have been waiting a long time for a tablet/PC that would fit me and I have finally found it with the Ativ Smart PC.
