Stellar performance, a great laptop for games/movies

Pros: Beautiful display, great processing, great graphics, biometric fingerprint reader is really useful
Cons: Bulky, not meant for your lap (hence desktop replacement), usb port placement interferes with where you would use a mouse

Awesome Desktop Replacement

Pros: Excellent hardware. Feels solid. Speakers are awesome. I don't even bother to hook up my Bose Companion speakers anymore. Feels like it'll hold up to anything you can throw at it. Screen looks amazing.
Cons: Very poor battery performance. Heavy.

Had to send it to the toshiba Depot and when I got it back, same thing. Had to send it back in again and got it back, the unit was turned on and the screen turned red and raspy. Had to send in again and still waiting. Their customer service from tech spport still has never called me back. Would never recommend to a friend.

Pros: The notebook offers one of the best high quality gaming experiences imaginable, plus the ability to watch videos through HD settings helps out for those long flights.

It also plays Crysis pretty darn well too. Yes, it does support 4 gigs of memory but only if you are using Vista 64-bit. 32-bit Vista will only detect up to 3 gigs. this is not Toshibas' fault. This is just the way Vista is. Great value for the money. The only thing I wish they did do was put 7200rpm hard-drives in there instead of 5400rpm, but you can easily upgrade the hard-drives, and the memory if you want to. I upgraded the memory to 3 gigs DDR2 PC-6300 800mhz and 2 Hitachi 140gig 7200rpm hard-drives. Man does this baby scream.

Pros: Beautiful notebook inside and out. Wonderful performance from the Core 2 Duo Processor. Truly jaw dropping graphics from the Dual NVidia 512 MB video cards. HD/DVD player..........

Summary: Overall this is a wonderful laptop computer. The build quality is outstanding, and is evident just by looking at the computer. The touchpad has dual functionality. It acts as the mouse, but also lights up to reveal volume control and shortcut icons. The dual video cards are amazing. The computer does not hesitate at all even under the most extreme processor and RAM robbing applications. I previoulsy owned a Dell laptop that also had a Core 2 Duo processor, but the Toshiba makes the Dell look sick. I would highly recommend this computer to my family and friends and anyone else who wants a high end quality notebook at a reasonable price.
The features on this notebook are awesome, and if you check other laptop manufacturers, they don't even offer alot of the fetures on this notebook. This is an awesome laptop that turns heads. -

I would never ever buy a laptop from Toshiba again. They are great little powerhouses that get the job done, that is for sure. But Toshiba as a company just wants to be "seen" as a great company and not actually hold up the service end of the purchasing agreement.
Take a very close look at all of the specs that are listed before you buy. I bought one of their u305 13.3″ laptops 4 1/2 months ago. The specifications on their website very clearly and proudly state that the laptop is capable of utilizing 4Gb?s of RAM. It is not! And it is not because of the chipset or board being used (others use the same and are capable of 4Gb's). It is because they could not program the bios properly to handle it.
Toshiba has since my purchase changed the manual and the online specifications for this laptop line to an upper limit of 2Gb?s RAM. After many hours on the phone with their ?customer service? handlers, I am at a loss for what to do. It is at the point now that I am considering suing them. They have made absolutely no effort to rectify the situation.
It is apparently my burden to bear that the laptops specifications changed. They are not willing to allow me to return it and pay the difference for another model. They will not compensate me in any way for their mistake. I now have 2 2Gb sticks of top end OCZ sitting at home gathering dust. I cannot return them because it is past the 14 day limit. Although to OCZ?s customer service I send thanks! They are willing to send me out new (in exchange) ones if the future laptop I do buy needs differently spec?d RAM.
Stay away from Toshiba as a laptop manufacturer, they do not hold up their end of the purchase agreement and feel perfectly okay doing so.
